To all the girls out there, how would you react to your fiance asking for a prenup, and would you sign it? To the guys, how do you think I should ask?

I am engaged to my dream woman, but I want a prenup. I can't imagine ever wanting to leave her, but I know people change. At our wedding, we'll both be 20 (before you all tell me to not get married, I have known her my entire life, and have been dating her for 4 years already, so it's not as rushed as it seems). I do realize that we're very young though, and while I can't see a future with divorce now, it could very well happen. People change, and we still have a lot of time that most people change a lot within ahead of us. So I want to sign a prenup. Just a preventative measure in case a divorce does come. I don't know how to bring it up though, or how she'll react. We've never talked about this before, and I do think we need to, seeing as our wedding is in a year and I'd rather have this talk now than closer to the date.

For those that don't know, a prenup is an agreement signed by those to be married that decides everything that divorce cases usually fight over. Most ensure a 50/50 asset split, can designate what assets are marital or not (like the dog isn't both of their's just his, etc.)), and can prevent alimony/spousal support. Basically prevents most if not all financial fights during a divorce.

Also, please don't mention children or custody or any of that. We're not stupid, we know how to use protection, so there will be none of those until we both hold stable jobs, have a good place to live, have good insurance and money saved, etc.
