I would think most girls would prefer the more "traditional" way of dating but sometimes I wonder.

Now believe it or not I'm not a beta male virgin, but a normal enough guy that wishes romance was still a thing. Not because I'm a loser or whatever you're gonna call me but because I would prefer the traditional way.

Traditional way: Boy meets girl. She's not texting 4 other guys and he isn't really interested in other girls. He has the balls to ask her out on a date. If she thinks he's cute and nice she accepts his invitation. He picks her up and takes her out. The most he'll get is a kiss. If it goes well they continue this and then become officially together. Then they have sex and what not.

Modern way: Guy meets girl at bar/party/club/tinder. Gets her number. Texts her for a few days. She is texting 5 other dudes. He asks her to meet up. They meet up for coffee then go have sex. Usually nothing happens after that. Sometimes people fuck right after meeting someone in a bar. Eventually this will lead into a relationship but one partner will cheat and it will end.

Not saying the traditional method was always followed and that it always worked. But guys needed more balls. Girls wouldn't fuck a guy right away like they do now. They would need to be seduced. This fueled romance and guys had to bring something to the table. Back a few decades ago (not that long ago really) most girls wouldn't have sex outside of relationships. Nowadays its rare to find a girl that doesn't. I just feel like women have a lot more power and respect the old way and are better off with traditional dating.

Maybe I'm wrong. You tell me.

(for all you feminists out there, I'm not saying treating women like property, or them not allowed to work. I'm talking about dating not married life)

My friend who I recently met had her breakup with her ex a week ago. She was with him for 5 months and he ghosted on her for no apparent reason. Most probably he cheated on her with some other girl or got bored out of the relationship. I don't know many details about it but wanted to find out if people reply back or come back in relationship after realising their mistake.

What advice would you give to her? It's been only a week. I know it is her private life but I thought I should ask on her behalf.

What do you prefer?
1. A partner that is very close to you, knows everything you do, reads your emails and chats, is never a night not besides you in bed, no friends of your own, need to align and agree on everything, exclusive sex and intimacy.
2. A partner that is less close to you, also has its own life, friends of their own, does not always know where you are or what you do, does not ever look in your phone, is away sometimes during one or more nights, exclusive sex and intimacy, but you will just have to trust the other that he/she does not cheat on you.
3. Same as 2, but no exclusive sex and intimacy. You are both free to date other people, but you are each other's most important partner.

Let's say there's a person 'A' in exclusive romantic relationship with person 'B' for many years.

Meanwhile 'A' gets to know a person named 'C' (they are of opposite sex) and soon they become best friends.

'B' is not comfortable with the close friendship between 'A' and 'C' but tries to be understanding and hence asks 'A' that he/she wants to meet 'C' - to get to know him/her better. But 'A' deines and says it'll be awkward and that 'C' won't like it. Even 'C' denies meeting 'B' and says he/she doesn't feel comfortable with the idea.

'A' always seems to be spending more time with 'C' as compared to 'B'. This creates a downward spiral in relationship between 'A' and 'B' and lots of other issues. 'A' and 'B's relationship becomes toxic over time. 'A' brings up the fact that he/she's not comfortable with their friendship many times over a period of time but 'B' always reassures 'A' that it is only platonic and nothing more. Somehow they remain committed to each other.

Finally one day (after about a year) 'A' and 'C' fall in love with each other. Both 'A' and 'C' express their love for each other verbally (nothing physical) after realizing that they both are deeply in love with each other. 'B' is still unaware of this fact at this point.

A few days later 'A' decides to reveal this to 'B' - though nothing physical happened between A and C till this point. Finally, 'A' and 'C' get into exclusive romantic relationship with each other.

Is it normal for 'A' and 'C' to fall in love with each other? Is it cheating? Is anyone faulty here at all? What's your best judgement about this situation?
