I have a roommate that is generally OK, but has a drinking problem. There are two other people here. She's not violent or anything but has the personaltiy of a 13 year old when drunk. She drinks to escape reality in my opinion. Of course, doesn't admit it. Goes out with her "friend" almost every night, which is a guy, but seems more to me like they are dating. We are friendly but we aren't a couple, nor friends with benefits nor anything else. Quite frankly, I'm debating whether to kick her out or try to help. Would dating her help anything, or should I just be a friend and push her to cut back on the drinking? The thing is she seems to get upset when I don't get strung along with her flirting. I don't know her well enough to know if she's just manipulating. Kicking her out seems callous, but I don't want to get into some shit. I know some guys might be thinking, "free fuck, duh". You don't understand the situation. She is something of a family friend and there would be consequences for doing that.

So there's this one girl who I used to have really strong feelings for, but I'm not sure if it was love. I've never experienced that before, ever. I'm very different when it comes to relationships and feelings, so when I realized how much I liked this girl it freaked me out. We hungout daily, usually by ourselves but sometimes with friends. And we've talked about stuff quite a few times, which if I wasn't so weird about this kind of stuff, I might have been able to do something about it. I've only had 1 girlfriend, but I didn't like her nearly as much as this girl.

Anyways, after a long time I started getting tired of being friends and eveything kinda fell apart after that. I got really annoyed because whenever I'd ask her if she wanted anything more she'd say we're too good of friends now and I should have said something sooner, and I asked her why else and she would never give me a reason. She'd just say I don't know. I know that I got a little needy and proabably annoying, but all I wanted was an answer, like, you're ugly or not my type would have been fine. It would have helped me get over it and move on but no, she never gave me a reason other than we're too good of friends now. It seriously pissed me off because it made me feel like she's just trying to string me along until she needed me. Because she's said she's attracted to me before and we've had some pretty deep conversations, more towards the begginning of our friendship.

I guess it doesn't matter now anyways, because I haven't talked to her if months and she texted me like a month ago asking how I was doing and I pretty much told her we aren't friends anymore, and it ended kinda bad. I blocked her and everything so I couldn't check up on her. And honestly, she wasn't the best anyways.

But for my original question lol, have any of you ever been in a situation like mine? Or loved someone that you've never dated, and knew that you probably never would? Not like a celebrity, but someone that you know?

I went college with a girl, and have now been out of college for two years and still talk with her/live near her. I'm not going to go on about our story... because everyone has had someone who they have considered a soulmate. I am a unique person and she is similar in ways I couldn't imagine someone being. We connected on a lot of different levels... chemistry, personality, physically... etc. Nothing ever happened at school, but it was close. She dated people and I dated people, and it never seemed to happen. She was the type of girl who had a lot of guys all ove her, and some guys considered her a tease. I told her about my feelings too late, and she reciprocated (at least through words), but was moving away at the time and did not want to start a relationship.

Long story short, after a while away from one another, were about to reconnect. I'm guarded and definitely don't want to be strung along. I don't think she is doing that, but I feel like I've seen her do this to other guys. She has told me she has felt like she had missed out on a chance with her soulmate. When we do reconnect... should I wait for her to innitiatie things? Or should I talk with her and get an answer from her and either date her or move on? I'm 24 and smart/old enough to not want to play games. Right now, I believe the ball is in her court though... I've told her how I felt in the past and it didn't work out... I don't want to be foolish and chase anyone... It never turns out well Any thoughts?
