Pros- some of the nicer houses cost around $10,000-$30,000 us dollars,
no property tax on your house, overall you pay a lot less taxes, cheap good food around your house and most stores are always near by and cheap water bill and no curfew even for kids.
cons- hot weather most of the season, you pay electric bill and you still don't get 24 hour electricity, good chance of sandstorms, scorpions, cockroaches, and big beetles are native to Iraq. No car insurance, house insurance or insurance of any kind.

Cops have to train for the worst case scenarios. This often leads to cops treating citizens roughly. That fact cannot really be helped due to the dangers cops face. However, many cops have shared with me things they wish citizens knew. For example, a traffic cop explained to me that he would much rather someone leave their hands on the steering wheel until he tells them to grab their insurance vs them just automatically reaching around before the officer approaches the car. That way he can watch them and know they do not have a weapon. He also said a simple action like that takes stress off the officer and can make them go easier on people due to not worrying if the person is going for a gun or their documents. To the average citizen, they think they are doing something good and saving the cop time. That confusion between cop and citizen could lead to a bad outcome just out of misunderstanding each other. MOST situations when dealing with law enforcement can be resolved much easier if citizens knew little things like that. Cops have to go through rigorous training to protect us. Compared to that, I think a class that helps give citizens this situational awareness is a small but much appreciated token of cooperation that would save so many lives, both police and citizen.

Imagine how many lives we can save and the insurance cost and damages we could save if we made it illegal for the elderly to drive! I do not question their ability or skills to drive but rather i question their physical and mental health to drive. At any moment they can have a heart attack and endanger themselves and everyone around them. It is pretty obvious and common sense that they cannot handle the speed and fast pace driving conditions or be cable of quick on the spot decision making especially when they are on their medication.
I believe the government should make it illegal to drive past a certain age agreed upon by doctors and then provide the elderly free transportation services to get around where they need to go. What do you guys think? I believe regardless of opinions with the advent of self driving cars pretty soon no one will be driving in the future especially if they are not qualified to do so.

There’s a page on Facebook that shares the mugshots of people that get arrested for DWI.
The thing is she is a new girlfriend and my family was happy for me. They are barely getting to know her. On her page it comes out that she was charged with DWI, driving with no auto insurance, expired registration sticker and I don’t know what else but it was all there on the Facebook mugshot share page. I hope my family doesn’t see it but I think I should tell them as opposed to them finding out on their own.

This is a very interesting question that has rattled around my brain for a little while now. How does the world view a person that in their 20s or beyond and is still getting a ride places? Be it from a parent, sibling, friend, etc. to go to work, school, running errands, etc.

I am 21 years old and have never had a car (I've had my license since 18) and I am not a student in a university or anything like that (the career path that I have chosen doesn't require for me to do so). I work in a pharmacy and I've worked with this pharmacist for about a little over a year now and we're kinda cool. Today after work had ended... I got picked up from my dad and the pharmacist saw me... he looked at me as if he had lost all of his respect for me.

Not to defend my non car owning self but I haven't had the chance to purchase a car because I am waiting for my finances to increase a bit more so that I can get my car of choice also, I need to figure out some insurance stuff... but when this happened earlier today it made me question how does the world view situations like this? I know I can't be picking any girls up for dates or pick my friends up for a night out on the town but these things take time.

How do you feel about grown/older people still not having their own means of transportation? Do you see them as little kids or do you just see them as people that are still getting things together?

Obviously this doesn't account for people that had cars and lost them in accidents or their financial situations turned rough and they had to get rid of them.

It’s a collective good that benefits us and our society as a whole. It’s like how we pay taxes for public schooling K-12, police force, the fire department, and public roads.

Can you imagine trying to pay for 12 years of education out of pocket? If you couldn’t, your child would be severely disadvantaged as an adult with little way out of the situation.

Can you imagine frantically calling the police for help, and have them flat out tell you we’re not going to do anything because you can’t afford the insurance and out of pocket costs, the hung up? What if a guy with a gun was outside your house?

They just let you, your family member, or friends die. Can you imagine if someone tried to turn our police system into that? There would be an outrage. On all sides of the political spectrum.

Why is okay with healthcare?

In America, if you, your child, your family member, or friend needs heart surgery or any treatment to stay alive, and can’t afford it, they just let you die. It’s so barbaric.
