Two daddies or two mommies.

On the surface I don't feel like it's a bad thing or morally wrong or anything like that. I don't think it should be illegal. So I just want that to be clear.

But personally I feel bad for the kid on some level :/ I feel like a kid does best with a mommy and a daddy. I think men and women are different and both bring different and necessary perspectives to parenting.

At the end of the day a loving home is most important. But I think ideally in my book the man/woman parental balance is always going to be the best way. But that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of kids with single parents or same sex parents who turn out just fine!

1. He has three or four kids.
He has never been married and has THREE OR FOUR CHILDREN. The oldest is about 10 or 11. So my sister will automatically have to be mommy to kids that aren't' hers and feed three or four extra mouths. It kinda just sucks that he has that many damn children and I'm worried her life will suck starting off with all those kids including her own daughter.

2. He works a job that makes ends meet, but not a job to where their big ass family can live a certain lifestyle. She'll probably end up supporting him and his kids.

3. He's obese. Like HUGE. This worries me because he clearly doesn't have healthy eating patterns and doesn't know ish about diet or portion control. I'm concerned that they'll have a bunch of overweight, unhealthy children who have low self-esteem and get picked on.

The whole situation just seems like a mess and she keeps saying "If I get married..." "At my wedding..." like it's some amazing thing to have an overweight husband who can probably barely make ends meet and already has three or four kids. Are these superficial, judgmental reasons for not wanting my sister to marry this man? Can you see where I'm coming from?
