Search Results: breaking up with my boyfriend

I’ve previously met most of my boyfriend’s friends and family, not because I necessarily wanted to but because I felt it was something I should do for my partner, to get to know them. He has also met my family many times and actually requested to do so in the first place, but when ever I’ve asked him to participate on any events where my friends (and possibly their partners +kids) are he has always had an excuse why he really can’t and there’s no discussion. So much so that my friends are always asking if we still are together or not (they’ve met, he says he likes them, we’ve been together for a year).

Like the last time, I had to go to my goddaughter’s christening alone because even though I let him know about it a month ahead of time he already had an answer of “oh we have an important party at my friend’s that day so I can’t come”. And I got so angry at him that I did go alone and now when he asked me to go to see his friend’s new family before Christmas I feel like I really want to make an excuse on why I can’t go and just do what I want and let him go on his own. Would this just make me petty or maybe it’d just be a boss move? What would you do? What would you think is the right thing to do (not breaking up or anything serious like that but in this situation)?
