The title is a clickbait. If you were a dictator, would you rather:

A = Be a dictator fighting for people's right, but the majority hates you for protecting minorities rights. They wants to kill you and the minorities. In this option you would go against the majority's opinions and be an undemocratic dictator not doing as the majority wants to.

B = Oppress innocent minorities, so the majority loves you and are happy with your regime. The majority would try to protect you and loves oppressing minorities. Oppressing may be segregation, persecution, getting rid of people etc. If you choose option B you would do what the majority wants to and be a more democratic dictator. Ca. 90% would be happy and only a few percentage in this "if-scenario" won't.

Minorities may be an ethnicity, a color, a sexuality, a religion, a political belief and similar. The majority is ca. 95+ %.

Please explain Why. This is a "defending minorities, but not care about democracy" Vs "oppressing minorities, but be somewhat democratic". #Dilemma #Dictator #Dictatorship
