I recently received a text from someone I've casually but infrequently talked to in the past. It was a friendly hello, and ended with saying we could maybe "hang out" sometime. The way it was worded didn't sound suggestive of any other intentions, but then again I am bad at picking up on those hints.

I don't really know how to handle it... on one hand, I like the idea of a friend, since I don't have any right now, but on the other hand I am afraid that he might be interested in me in a different way. I don't want a relationship, I don't want to lead anyone on, and the thought of someone potentially liking me makes me feel uncomfortable.

The possibility for awkwardness is also really high. I have a hard time being around people one-on-one, or keeping conversations going with new people.

So, guys, what does "hanging out" mean to you? Do you have strong female friends without any other emotions attached? Any other thoughts on the situation? Thanks.

So I always seem to find myself attracted to guys who are not single. There is one guy in particular who I don't know very well but we really click, more so than I have with anyone before. He seems interested but has a gorgeous (and rediculously overprotective) girlfriend. I'm keeping it simple - I won't be that girl who comes in and destroys a relationship, I won't make a move until he is single - but he keeps making comments as though he is testing how I feel about him.

He seems like an amazing guy, is really sweet and easy to talk to but I just don't know how to take him or what to say when he does start saying things like 'you're my type of girl', or calling me 'bae' like he did the other day - at which point I immediately ended the conversation.

Honestly he is the rare kind of guy I feel like I can relax and be myself around, who I gueninely enjoy spending time with. He's seen me at my worst with no makeup and not showered in days (camping trips FTW!) and I didn't feel embarrassed or self concious for the first time in a very long time.

Girls - what would you do? Again, I don't want to be the girl on the side, or have him dump his girlfriend for me - if he wants to break up it needs to be between them, not because he 'found someone better' or who's to say he won't do it to me down the track?

Guys - what do you think he is trying to get across? Is he just trying to be a flirty f*ck boy and get laid or do you think he could be gueninely interested?

I asked this a month ago:
In a camp, I met a guy who's my senior who took part in the planning of the camp (Let's just call this guy 'A'). His friends started shipping me and 'A' during the camp. 'A' is, to some extent, a friend. If I had a question, I would be fine with approaching him for help. It's easy for me to communicate with him. But everytime his friends are around, they tease him and me and he starts to laugh and smile. I joined a dance group for a competition, representing my specialized school against others (SoE vs FMS, both schools from the same polytechnic). He came to support, but I'm not sure if he came to support me, or to just cheer on our school (SoE). Thing is, very few people get to come along to support. (only 3-4 people from our course) He also starts conversations randomly before suddenly pretending I don't exist and playing with his friends. For example, earlier today, he wished me luck as I'm emceeing for an event later with one of his classmates. Last of all, my friend who claims to be very good at analyzing body language, says that everytime 'A' sees me, he tenses up; which apparently is a sign that he likes me? I don't know how to read all of this, and I'm afraid of overthinking and then reading into something that doesn't exist.

A month later and I can safely say that I am friends with this guy. There's stuff I've shared with him that I don't share to most. Occasionally we meet on the way to school as we take the shuttle bus from the same interchange. A few days ago, we met in the shuttle bus and when he saw me, he had this really cute shy smile and then sat next to me. We were talking all the way to school even though he planned to sleep on the way to school. We don't talk a lot on text, even when I try to put effort into keeping the conversation going. This makes me a bit confused: if I was his crush, wouldn't he try to talk to me even on text? We both have a lot of common interests.

I went to a restaurant a few weeks ago and ordered some food to take away. While I was waiting I was having a drink at the restaurant's bar. The guy who was serving the drinks at the bar was really handsome so he immediately caught my attention, however I tried to not pay too much attention to him. But then he started talking to me and asked personal questions, while keeping eye-contact intensely (which I ended up happily returning). Today I went back to the bar and asked again for a drink and he again stared in my eyes while talking. Neither of us looked away both times. So yeah, I'm wondering if maybe he was attracted to me as well?
