I met a guy on a dating site, he's 8 years older than me, which isn't a problem for me. He's been married once and has 2 kids. He's incredibly handsome, and has been very respectful to me. We've swapped photos, we text and have talked on the phone once. We have been chatting for about 2-3 weeks now and we've both mentioned how we'd love to meet. He has such a fantastic sense of humor, i love people who makes me laugh, not to mention we have the same sense of humor, like creepy jokes too soon.. lol. Though the only cons I can think of is he's one) an inch shorter than me 2) he lives in a different state. Now we're only about 4-4.5 hours away from each other... but that's still a good hop and skip. Granted my ex was 1.5hrs from me, at one point 2.5 and we made in 2 years. But I'm nervous about traveling that far to meet someone, I do own a gun and pepper spray lol but I don't think I'd need to use either.. I say id travel bc I've always wanted to go to a certain area of the state he lives in, I live in the middle of nowhere with nothing close by lol. Also, about his humor.. we had just swapped phone numbers close to Thanksgiving and I texted him, i got a reply, then a message from another number asking why I was texted her husband.. and they had 5 kids together... then I got a pic of a woman, a man and him.. saying they were his extended family and had to break me in right.. which I found hilarious after the finding our it was a joke. He said he had no idea until after the message was sent, they said his jaw dropped.. but anyways, he told them about me.. and a buddy at work as well he told me today he showed him a pic I had sent him this morning. Any advise on meeting, and experiences with this? Did it work for you?

So I started dating this guy officially last weekend but we've been seeing each other for a couple weeks now. He's made it clear that he doesn't want me to meet his family. He says it's because he finds them annoying and doesn't like involving them in his life, but I sort of don't know how I feel about this, because he's basically met my entire family. Then there's what happened today, so I'm hardcore PMSing and just had an overall shitty day and since we are both pretty busy we only see each other on weekends. Anyway we're skyping and he tells me he's going to see Mockingjay with a couple friends (who are all bringing their girlfriends) and he mentions as a side note that he's going with "a pretty girl" so that he wouldn't be fifth wheeling so I brush it off and then he mentions he has the whole day off tomorrow (first I'm hearing of this) and I don't mind that he's spending it with his friends it's just that next week he's going to Washington and since I'm busy this weekend with research papers and preparing for my drivers exam and since I finish at 2 on Fridays it would've been the ideal time to hang out, and it also means I won't see him for two weeks. This aspect does bother me because we have really bad text-chemistry and even online everything's just super awkward because he's always preoccupied with something else and the conversation dies quickly. It's really early in the relationship and I'm already feeling like "the side hoe" and if this is any implication as to how the relationship will persist I don't like it because although I'm not super gorgeous or anything I do have better things to do than waste my time in something that's going no where.
Any advice as to what I should do?

I've been dating a man for about 8 weeks. We met on an online dating site. We chatted for a while then met up. He seemed really keen and would compliment text me a lot. We went on several dates. One night we took it further and slept together it was very passionate. He stills texts me regularly but not so complimentary. I have found out that he is having financial difficulties and has to work lots of hours doing irregular shifts to earn enough money to keep his mortgage payments up do date. He did explain this to me and I do understand this. He explained that he won't be able to see me as much and he won't be able to spend money going out on dates so for the past few weeks he has been coming around to my place. We he comes over we can't keep our hands of each other but we don't always end up in bed. He literally lives around the corner from me. I see him about once every 10 days he does text me several times a day, I'm not sure if im a convenient stop gap or if he wants a relationship. Some advice would be great?
