- she started dating a guy of the group, and I other one

- I know for a fact she’s very controlling to the boyfriend who is in love with her (my friend) and extremely demeaning/manipulative. None of my business, I don’t interfere, but It made me not like her.

- she stopped hanging out with my boyfriend after he started dating me (it’s well known in our group she doesn’t like me for some reason Idk)

Now the latest and what made me ask this question, she is starting to try and create problems where there arent:

- asked my mom if she knows my boyfriend and I are moving in together (we are not and it got my conservative mom very worried and to fight with me)

- keeps asking my boyfriend if he really likes me or if I really like him etc, or insisting his family wouldn't like me

- she's hosting a dinner party this weekend and made a group but privately messaged my boyfriend to come, and said she doesn't care if I don't come when he mentioned I had another party to go to

- there are a million other little examples of her trying to create arguments between us, basically

Our other friends think she is either jealous of mine her her bf’s past friendship, or she’s into my boyfriend. Well it doesn’t matter.

My question is. We will surely keep meeting as we live nearby and hang out at the same places.

In my place, what would you do?

The cat is basically mine, because she was a birthday gift given to me by my parents when I turned 12. I’m 27 now, and feeling like I need my furry companion with me. She is extremely bonded to me, and is not nearly as close to anyone else... both of us spent our childhoods (me after 12, her from a few months onward) growing up together. She will let my mom pet her, however it’s not nearly the same as it is with me. She used to sleep with me every night and follow me around the house constantly. Now, everytime I go over, she’s SO happy to see me and it makes me wonder if maybe it wouldn’t be so bad moving her in with me (since everything will smell like me and I’ll be around a lot). I see her once a week now, but I can’t help but wish I saw her much more. She’s basically my best friend. The only reason I haven’t moved her in with me yet, is because I went to college for a few years, and it never felt right after. But I’m at a point in my life (depression, stress) where I need something to take care of. Plus, my brother and sister in law recently adopted a cat, which inspired me to get one of my own.. and I’m thinking I either want to adopt a new kitten or move my childhood friend in with me.. And adopting feels like a betrayal to me, since the cat in question loves me so very much and would likely be jealous if she knew. It just feels wrong...

There are several problems that concern me about moving her in, though.
1. She’s an older cat. She’s healthy now, but I’m not sure what impact this could have on her.
2. She is able to go outside at my parent’s house, and has for her entire life. In my apartment, she would never be able to go outside again.
3. Everything will be completely new. After 16 years in the same place, what would that be like?

Anyways, does anyone have any insight or advice as to what I could do?
