A guy from my friend group I've been hanging out and texting with a lot lately took a trip to another country for his sister's graduation. I heard he's been shopping and apparently he's bought something from there to bring home for me too. In his last message (we were just casually chatting) he wrote "Can't wait to get there ❤". Any chance he might still just see me as a friend or is he interested in more?

Would you go if you could, or would you be uncomfortable?

I have left it gender neutral bc i do not want the gender affecting the answer, I want to know how people would feel themselves, not how they think a Woman or a Man might feel in said situation. I may be bi or lesbian or straight.

I have known 'Blank' since last year when Blank asked me out. I said no due to time constraints. We have been on good terms or the past few months. Blank recently told me Blank always wanted to go to Italy. We had just been discussing Italy bc i am from there and have family and go regularly. As it happens I am planning to go this summer for my yearly visit. When blank said Blank always wanted to go, I suggested things Blank should do if Blank does go. Blank looked a bit disappointed. I don't know if it had anything to do with hoping id invite Blank, or just a coincidence. Anyhow i have a lot of frequent flyer miles so i got an extra ticket. If Blank does not want to go ill bring my other friend. I was thinking of it as a gesture mostly just bc Blank has been really nice even though i rejected Blank and i always liked Blank. But also we'd get a chance to know each other Blank wanted to go and there's plenty of room at my house bc its an old inn, so why not. Blank is graduating, i can just call it a graduation gift, but really i just thought Blank has always wanted to go , i'm going... At the least its good closure, I think.
