Search Results: how to get my boyfriend to show emotion

Hey I should probably start off by describing myself a bit. I‘m a 19 years old girl from Europe. I‘m about 5'4" tall, have dark eyes, long darkbrown hair and pale skin. I would say I look pretty average but I always try to put effort in the way I look to look presentable for my family and boyfriend. My family raised me pretty strictly because in our family good manners and education are very important.

Now to the problem:
When it comes to emotions people describe me as cold. I would love to say that this is not true but often enough i find myself avoiding to get emotionally involved with anyone because I was disappointed so many times before. This also includes my boyfriend. I absolutely love him but I can‘t feel it. I often try to show him how much I love him but I feel like I always fail because of my general behaviour around him.

When we go for a walk for example I absolutely hate holding hands or when he puts his arm around me. I prefer linking arm or keeping them to ourselves. I also don‘t like kissing in public or any sort of PDA like cuddling when we wait for something. When I see couples that do things like that it seems repellent to me.

My boyfriend sometimes hints that he doesn‘t understand my behaviour but I don‘t know how to talk to him about it because I am scared to hurt him.

I created this ink drawing to represent my feelings of passion and emotions towards my boyfriend as well as the pleasure and intense sensations sex with him brings. I wanted to portray how I feel visually, and felt like this drawing did it justice - splashes of red, the colour of love and passion and danger.

However my friends made fun of it saying it looks like period blood. Now the issue is I made it in our collab sketchbook with my boyfriend and was excited to show him. BUT he has a blood phobia and now I’m worried. It is ONLY triggered by actual blood, nothing like this, but I still don’t want a drawing to remind him of something he finds uncomfortable rather than the meaning I meant to put in.

Should I get rid of it and not show him? And re-do instead?

So my boyfriend is a nurse. Big and buff with muscles but has started to gain weight so its half muscle half fat (which I love). I'm almost done with nursing school. And I'm like cubby but sexy curvy LOL I dont have insecurities. I use to but it has taken soooo much time to realize my self beautiful.

My dilemma: I'm in this 6 Month relationship with a guy who checks almost everything off my list. Which is hard to find and I know no one is perfect but to me he is... I feel like... I'm giving 100% and I'm getting back 20% because of this lack of feedback I am starting to feel insecure again and this is a feeling I have been trying to get out for years. He is ideal perfect but he is also lacking in the loving factor. I have talked to him about this multiple times in person and he said he's just scared to show emotion... but the more he doesn't the more I wanna leave. Maybe I'm officially back into being insecure but when I see him at work texting or when I dont get any emotional feedback I feel like I am not his everything. i also feel like he could be texting someone else but he isn't that type of person I just always catch myself in an emotional wreck begging for some type of emotional response. What should I do. ?
