Search Results: parents upset over my date

I have a 9 year old from a previous relationship. We have been together for 3yrs. We live together. We knew each other for a yr before we got in a relationship. Over the past three years I've noticed the following. I do all the chores. Indoor & out. He has asthma so I offered to help outside more. Now I'm doing it all. Inside I care for the pets, my son & any other chores. When I have asked for help his answer was "I need a list." I made a list he never follows it. So I made a chore chart. My son, being nine is now helping more, but a majority is still all me. Now my boyfriend works & is a full time student. I also work full time but I'm about to start school. Still, when I ask for help I get playful no or ok. Later he gets upset about how he has so much HW work to do. So, I end up doing everything & not even ask for help. On another note we don't do date nights, we don't cuddle & I can't tell you the last time we were intimate. His mother is visiting right now & he's a whole different person! Asking what I want to do, doing dishes, spending time with my son. He's a good person. I still feel like its a bad relationship. Everytime I Express how I feel about our relationship he says he understands but also says I'm probably going through a phase or I'm just a little stressed & it will pass. It makes me feel belittled. Last month I saw a huge red flag. We talk about the future a lot. I mentioned that I may not want kids because it was so difficult being a single parent & if our relationship stays the way it is, that's how it would be. Me working, schooling & raising our kids alone while he does what he's been doing. He got a little mad and said "well when we have kids they won't act like this (indicating my son) & be 100% obedient & I'll be with you so it will be better." Alarms sounded in my mind. So my plan is stop doing all the chores for him for a yr. See how he reacts & if it's not solved leave at the end of next year.

I've been seeing this guy recently
We had few dates already
We met on a dating app
he's seems like a nice guy and such a gentleman, and quite fun to be with
He has been bringing up this after the second date:
- He asked me if I wanted something serious
- He said he wants this to go somewhere and asking if Im on the same page as him
- He asked if my parents would like him
- He asked if I care about his background
- He keeps saying he likes me a lot
- He asked me how I see myself in 5 years
etc
He always wants to see me often
After our 4th date, when we were kissing, he said:
"I really like you alot"
And then he asked me:
"Can we be more than friends? I want you to be my girl"
But I replied:
"I think I need more time, I don't want to rush anything, I just wanna hang out more and see where it goes"
Then he replied:
"Yeah sure, I understand"
And then I asked him:
"Are you still on the dating app?"
And he replied:
"Nah why?"
And I said:
"Just asking"
I deleted my profile few days ago because I am so over the app
Most of the guys are just douchebags that just want to hook up
So I didn't want to go on it again
But I went on it again to see if he's recently been online
And he was online few hours ago
I have him on facebook and his friends list is on public so I can see whether he adds new girls or not and he hasn't
But should I be upset about him still being on the app?

Let's say you are 16 years old. You go to a magnet high school and you have three close best friends. The school invited you and a few other students to Disneyland for a week in Orlando Florida. You have to pay a deposit of 200 dollars and the school pays for everything else including food, transportation and activities. Your father reads over the application, throws it in the trash and says no because it's too dangerous. Instead they put you in more schooling programs. Example, they put you in a harder math class and tell you about Sunday school. Your father gets upset when you ask to see your friends and says no.

A month later you were invited to a 5 month trip to China with your school for free, when you're parents found out your mother called the school to cancel your flight and told the school you aren't allowed to participate and to give you extra classes to take in school. She says you have to be extremely stupid to think you were going to China with your school. Your best friend goes through and now you just do more and more schoolwork. You even missed your best friends birthday party because you're parents said no. They also told you, you aren't allowed to date and take your phone every night even on the weekends. You aren't even allowed to hold hands with the opposite gender

At 17, You were invited to a animal study program in Africa because you enrolled yourself in adventure club. Your parents say no and pull you out the school and put you in a online school. Whatever friends you do have your parents will rarely allow you to see them.

At 18 your parents say you still can't date, you can't go out at night and you need to be in school every Saturday, they're considering letting you have Sunday off but they're also not allowing you to work or have a job
