Alright so when my boyfriend (Lets call him B) and I were on our second date we went to starbucks, and his best friend (Lets call him D) was hanging there with some people (so I met him for the first time, not sure if this was planned or not).
We ended up staying and hanging out and since we all share a love of gaming B prompted me to share my ideas for my game room when I get my own place. D then shook Bs hand (I'm guessing because he was impressed and was congratulating him for finding a gamer chick, haha). So I'm pretty sure I had already gained his approval. Since then the three of us had spent a good amount of time together, but last night we all went to a hookah bar, then ended up going back to Ds house to drink.
After we all had a good buzz going we were outside smoking, and D was like "B, B, B, listen to me, you could do anything in your life but nothing would be better than this girl you have here" B was kinda distracted by Ds brother when he said that so he didn't really say anything to it but he smiled and gave me a squeeze. Then later when we were pretty drunk D said "I know it's too soon but I would be very happy if you an B ended up getting married" I'm not sure if B heard that but it just shows how D thinks we're good together. He said other things through the night but the details are a little fuzzy after awhile haha. Anyway I'm wondering what my boyfriend thinks about this, we kinda talked about it and he's happy his friend likes me but I don't know how important it is to him. I know everyones different but in general, how important is it to guys that their friends like/approve of their girlfriend? Also, the stuff he said was pretty intense so is that something he may worry about? His friend wanting to steal me or something? Is it bad that D and I get along so well? If he didn't hear the thing about D being happy if B and I ended up getting married he might not know that he respects our relationship and really wants me to be with B.

I met this guy at a friend's party almost 7 years ago. Immediately we were very good friends, we get each others' humor, we enjoy the same thing, and would often just end up in the same place at the same time long before people were checking in on Facebook just because we enjoy the same kind of places. I liked him right away, but he had a girlfriend at the time, and they broke up a few months later, after we had established a good friendship. We would go to breakfast, lunch, and even a movie sometimes, but it never quite felt like a date. I also never told him how I felt although I was starting to feel hopelessly into him because it just never felt like the right time. He was always down to spend time with me and would work it into his crazy schedule going to school and working midnights, and when we were in the same room we were always together. After a year of this, neither of us had made any initiative to make it more than it was, so I decided we were just friends, and eventually stopped saying no to the guy who was clearly in love with me and one of my best friends as well. The other guy and I stopped running into each other as much and making plans to. About a year into our relationship, we ran into him at a beer tasting, and I immediatly remembered the feeling I have for him. I still felt like he was my first choice with them both there in the same room, and was otherwise really happy with my guy, so I stopped keeping up the other friendship because I felt it was unfair to my boyfriend to keep someone around that I'm always going to be attracted to.
5 and a half years later... my boyfriend and I decided to part ways and just be friends, and I stil can't stop thinking about the other guy. We've been chatting on Facebook, and exchanged numbers again, but he's applied for a bunch of jobs out of state and is planning to move as soon as he gets one, or at the end of the year. I know I will see him this coming Saturday.. do I just tell him?
