So I have a small dilemma thats been causing a bit of upset and frustration for two people who care for me. Situation for my whole short life I've been made to be weary of things that can happen, Im always thinking of things and cautious of what i do. Anyway but now that I'm older I've started doing more things, one of which includes walking alone down to the bridge where there are sometimes campers, like maybe 4, and nothing bad has ever happened there. So I was telling my mother about the my take I did recently regarding the rubbish there and she became extremely upset that I not only went alone but also talked to the people there. Now my boyfriend on the other hand sees nothing wrong with it and says she's being over protective.
Ok so here is the two thoughts of them both and please vote which you believe is more... um... to listen to... i feel like there are going to be a lot of both. Which is the problem because I agree with both but can't do both. Ps, this situation also applies to many other similar ones.

(Don't go) Mother says - its dangerous, only needs to happen once, can be a man or woman, it does happen, people disappear, get raped, get killed, why are you putting yourself at risk.

(Just go) Boyfriend says - she's being over protective, you can look after yourself, thous things very rarely happen, you can't just not do thing just incase something goes wrong, can't be caged forever.

(Both... dam I can't split in two) I say - Yes I understand and get what you both mean!!! So ok I'll go do things cautiously like I always do oh thats right I'm not allowed to, ok I won't... F but that means I not doing things.

... haha first time i have actually used this website for other peoples opinions because i don't know my own.

My male coworker and I used to get along, but now he barely talks too me and when he does it's condescending or kind of mean. If we are assigned the same area we work in complete silence. If I made him mad, I don't know what I did. For some reason though, he shows up with I talk to other people. Either he joins the conversation and talks to them, or he walks by weirdly close. And if I am using equipment he needs, he stands a little closer than anyone else. When I turn around it's a little bit of a surprise when it happens. What do you think?

im in a great dilemma. my boyfriend and i broke up because he cheated on me. he might sound like an asshole but trust me he's a really great boyfriend - other than when he cheated. for my birthday last February, he did so so so much for me. he bought me lots of stuff, brought me out for dinner, surprised me. he really put in a lot of effort to make me happy. so my concerns are:

if i wish him, what if he takes hours to reply because he's busy calling someone else or gaming? i would be damn hurt by it. im saying this because 1 week after the broke up, i missed him too much and texted him but he took hours to reply me bc he was busy gaming. and if it happens, it'll show that my birthday wish means nothing to him while it meant so much to me. I'll seem so pathetic and I'll be so hurt.
BUT, if he misses me, the birthday wish could make his day. and im scared that maybe he's looking forward to a wish? what if he gets hurt because i didn't send him one.

honestly i think that the chances of him taking hours to reply me bc he's busy is 80%. should i not send him one then? but he did so much for me...
