First off, this girl is in Ohio, and I'm in Indiana, and the only way that we talk is through texts and some video chats, but two days before her last birthday her former boyfriend revealed to her that he was cheating on here, then initiating the break up over a nine year relationship that was just going downhill as it progressed. I got back in contact with her from a year hiatus due to lost phone number two days after her birthday and we've been texting like crazy ever since. And maybe within a week or two after the break up he tried getting back with her again and she wasn't having any of it, saying he's a loser and insults like that.

I'm very complimentary of her looks and I like her a lot and I think she likes me to, but she's not very expressive, through texts and video chat. But I was wondering if you think I started to talk to her at the right time since she just got out of a relationship, and if she would have taken him back if I never started to talk to her. She stayed with him through the worst only because he was her first relationship and she didn't have anyone else that wanted to be with her, but now I want to be with her and possibly boosted her confidence with the compliments I've given her.

I would have hated to think that she would have taken him back even though he cheated on her and ignored her, put her down, and treated her like dirt the last many years of their relationship.
