Search Results: how to read a shy guy

What do you do with your eyes when someone looks at you? Do you hold focus or do you look away? Usually I look away but I only do that for two reasons, 1 is when it's a really attractive girl, I'll look away cuz I'm shy or I'll look away if I don't want her to think I'm a creeper. And sometimes I look away from other men when their talking to me but that's only because I don't want them to assume the wrong idea, like assuming I'm challenging them... (Don't get me wrong, I'm no coward so if I'm upset Or I'm teaching someone something I hold direct eye contact. But what do you guys do?

(there an old legend that says the eyes are the Windows to the soul and some of you don't hold eye contract because you don't want people to read you and look into your souls.

First off I considered Tinder a joke I only wanted something legit, funny thing is I found a girl there and matched who does too, anyway she said she'd delete Tinder because it was a bunch of gross guys and she doesn't do hookups so I asked for her actual phone number which she happily gave, anyway we've texted everyday for the past 5 days and she's opened up about quite a bit, he'll she even invited me to follow her on Instagram and said I have a good sense of humor, however she's not good at keeping a conversation going, she replies often with short answers, rarely asks about me etc normally I'd take that bad but I doubt she'd invite some guy she's not interested in to follow her on social media and also she even admitted she isn't good at holding a conversation, she has almost like a social anxiety and she I very shy it sounds like. So her replies seem more based around her being shy.

I've tried being hinty or flirty sometimes but she kinda draws back-replies but dodges it so I finally asked her what she wants in a guy, she said someone who can make her laugh (she said I have good humor) and someone who makes an obvious effort,,,, I almost wonder if she implies she wants me to be straight up?

anyway I'm conflicted as its only been a week of messaging and she's shy so I don't want to scare her by asking to meet, but I can't see this texting where she is super cautious being much more fruitful either since I've talked to her about a lot of topics, so girls do you think it's too soon to meet up? I know plenty enough about her to hold my side of the conversation I'm only worried how she'll take it, I find her shyness cute but don't want to scare her away. I mean she does know I'm not some pig guy from Tinder obviously or she wouldn't have given me her number but still..

I'm inexperienced as shut with texting, I'm a phone call kinda guy or face to face, but this girl I've been talking to is going well, we met on Tinder but she told me she hates how it's mostly sex and was going to leave the site so I asked for her phone number, she happily gave it and we texted a decent amount for a few days throughout the days the conversations ebbed and flowed I admit, sometimes it's hit a wall and I would redirect it but she did think I was funny and said she liked my sense of humor. Also I will say I typically ask about her and rarely the opposite but I've heard that's common when a guy texts a girl and this girl seems shy as well. I am always the first to text but again I've heard that's common especially this early on.

basically despite the texting being rough sometimes her and I agree on a lot, we don't drink or party don't want just sex etc and she's very physically attractive as well so I have a lot of hope riding on this, anyway last night I texted her and she didn't reply for a couple hours which is fine so I texted goodnight that I would hit the sack and hoped to hear from her today, and she replied "sleep well :)" so I figured yeah maybe she ignored the first one but for us only talking less than a week it's going decently, so today texted her around noon saying good morning that I just got up etc asking what was up and she's never replied, which is fine, I want clarify I don't care if she's busy but what I ask is, is this a bad sign? It's been nearly a whole day and no reply.

so overall would you say this is going well? Or am I maybe pinning too much on this right now? Is the fact that she takes several hours to reply at times bad? She's 19 so I mean usually girls are always with the phones but Like I said I have no texting experienced really it's etiquette is new to me. Like I said do you think this is going alright? Or does she seem disinterested?
