Search Results: other women just start flirting with you

I joined a personal development group, similar to toastmasters, and the first week I met a woman who was a lot of fun and flirting with me so I asked her out. A couple other people nearby heard and explained that they discourage casual dating in the group because they want to make sure people use the group for what it is, a personal development group, and not dating. She never gave me an answer.

Anyway, the following month or so she maintained her flirtyness with me and was always the one coming up to me, but now it is approaching about two months time and she's almost ignoring me completely. She'll still laugh and have fun and sometimes even touch me when we're talking, but she no longer initates any conversations with me. I tried backing off a bit, but we just ended up not talking for two weeks lol.

I want to say screw their rules and ask her out but I'm concerned that maybe I've waited too long and she's bored with me. Does the fact that she's not chasing me anymore mean that she's not interested in me right now, or does it just mean that she's tired of small talk and flirting all the time and she's trying to force me to ask her out if I want to see her. She talks with most of the other guys in the group, but will not initate conversations with me anymore and the last couple times I talked with her she would seem into the conversation and a little flirty, but then excuse herself from the conversation after a couple minutes.

Or would it be better if I back off and wait until she starts approaching me again, even if that doesn't happen for a while, and then ask her out then?

So I met this woman 6 weeks ago. We really hit it off well and I asked her out, but she didn't really give me a yes or a no. She just kinda hesistated, so I changed the subject and brought some other people into the conversation since I'm not really interested in going out with a woman who doesn't share that interest. Since then we've just been friendly. There been a little bit a flirting, and she doesn't shy away from touching me, and small conversations.

I also met one of her friends 5 weeks ago, and they will be roommates soon, and we started to hit it off. She would flirt with me a lot, tease, and tell me about herself. She also had a boyfriend up until last week, which I didn't know, but she made sure to tell me she was single the first time she saw me after they broke up.

Earlier the same day her friend told me she broke up with her boyfriend, the first woman starting behaving a little strange. She joined a conversation I was having with another guy and completely ignored me, didn't even make eye contact aside from a single glance. I simply left and went to talk some other people after they ignored me for about a minute. Then later she did come up and say hi, but called me the wrong name. I didn't react, but someone else spoke up and said "thats not his name!".

Is she trying to get my attention? Am I overanalyzing? Is she jealous I'm flirting with her friend? I mean I do like them both, but I probably like the first girl more, even if she did ignore me on purpose. Things will just get a bit complicated once they're roommates if I don't ask one out soon.

So, I realize that it takes a multitude of various types of people to male the world go round. If it weren't for this variety, suffice it to say that life would be pretty dull. My question is mostly directed towards men however, I encourage the ladies out there to chime in wherever they feel the notion to do so.

So, I'm somewhat of a gym rat and I understand that not everyone will share my taste (s) but, I've noticed that (via gym small talk) when I share my appreciation for the true female gym rat form (read, the crossfit/powerlifter/female bodybuilder) more often than not I get an odd look from my fellow 'rat'. For me, there is just NOTHING sexier than seeing a woman who comes to the gym to workout (not chit chat, flirt, or socialize) and absolutely OWNS (lift heavy, use free weights with impeccable form, etc.) her workout. Its not just the physical/visual results but the accompanying mentality of said female 'rat'. I'm just wondering why I get such an odd reaction from other men for my preference?

My opinion on the subject is this: I think many men are often intimidated (both mentally and physically) by a strong woman. Guys, once again I realize everyone has differing opinions and tastes but, am I right or just waaay off base?

Is my attraction/appreciation truly an anomaly or are other guys just hesitant to admit to such an attraction?

Finally, I realize that not all women have the same goals with regards to their physiques. All too often women associate lofting weights with, 'getting bulky' (I'll leave this myth alone today for another post lol). There is absolutely no hate here regarding anyone's preference.
