My Chinese teachers always say they wish they looked like us. I don't get it, I love the skin tone and youthful face and physique of Chinese people. This one Arab dude once told me that he likes Desi girls a lot, I thought internally "What do you even mean by that? Your own race has the most gorgeous women ever and you say you're into Desi women? People don't appreciate what they have smh. SMH. I could kill to look like women in your race."

It's just my observation, if you have a face that looks so much like your race, no one of your race really finds you special but those from other races call you 'exotic'. I was overwhelmed by the compliments I received from my international friends when I was in China. I always believed I'm quite boring, average looking.

I do notice people who are universally attractive though. Some faces are beautiful not only in their own race but also the rest of the world (almost). I noticed they mostly have very... mixed features. Like, a good balance of masculinity and femininity in facial structure and also looking mixed-race/ambiguous...

Actually, scientifically mixed race kids do have better genes because of their parents being so different. Do you think this impacts our point of view? Is it just us getting used to the faces around us and feel like the grass is greener on the other side or is there something more deep in it?

So today a Caucasian friend of mine was asking me if I could possibly set him up with any of my Asian girlfriends and then tells me that he's going through a "yellow fever" phase. I usually let these remarks slide but I was a bit offput in the way he said it that I called him out on it and said, "just as I'm not yellow, you're not white... last time I checked, you're skin tone dosen't resemble the colour of printer paper!"

So just out of curiosity, do you prefer coloured terms such as, "black/white/yellow..." or prefer someone actually stating your race, such as "African/Caucasian/Asian..."?
