Let me start by saying I love my mom very muchAs a kid she bought me girly toys that I never ever played with. She always wanted a baby girl to dress her up bake cookies etc... I'm the baby of four brothers two of whom are out of the house and me and my middle aged bro are the only ones left at the house... he got to live life as a guy but I'm not allowed to because my mom wanted me to be born a girl... at the age of eight I sold most of my girly toys because that wasn't me and I hate when people force things onto me like I'm some sort of a sick doggy I adore my mom and love her with all my heart But I wish that she could stop imposing this girly stuff on me that I'm not interested in.

She has great qualities that I love a lot. But I also have a life of my own. From the moment that babies are born, they are showered with either blue or pink decorations and celebrations. As they grow up, their acceptable clothes and hobbies are introduced to them by their parents. Little boys will be given toy cars, action figures, t-shirts, and shorts. Little girls will be given toy ponies, dolls, dresses, and cutesy clothing.

Gender is a huge concept that follows us throughout our lives. We are expected to consistently abide to gender norms, or else risk facing backlash and challenges from society. Some people love fitting into the roles how they are set up, and some people can't stand it. And there are many who lie in-between.
