So this is a touchy subject for me but it's something that bugs me a lot, I'm only 20 and I've never had a girlfriend I was always social and most everyone liked me but I grew up in a small town with VERY limited options, I only went for a few girls seriously and they all shot me down, anyway my father passed when I was 18 and being the only I stayed home to save money and be there for my mother (and honestly because I don't know what to do) anyway to add insult I lost most all my head hair to a condition after dad died, so I have to shave it bald, making it very hard to approach girls. And lately me and my mother have been arguing about a few things and she told me now that I'm bald I should lower my standards, that a bald guy shouldn't set out for a beautiful looking girl and should take what he can get. Now that dug deep, mom apologized but still I'm worried it's true, I do have high standards on looks but I only want one girl in the end, and I'd give her everything but I need that attraction physically as well or I couldn't do it... just being honest, call me shallow or not I believe that a strong physical attraction must be there. True attraction in not universal but I think some characteristics like being overweight and baldness are generally turn offs. And like I said 20+no hair+ always been alone makes me feel like mom was right. Why would an attractive girl date the 1% of guys with no hair at 20? So girls be brutally honest here, my father was and I always appreciated that-is a very young guy who's bald able to still keep his standards and go for/get what he is interested in? Or is it enough of a turn off that he should accept any girl who could get past it? Sounds dumb but I won't settle either way I just want to know my odds here, and Please don't turn this into some moral debate about looks not being important and just focus on the question, I admit looks matter so if they do to you I understand.. I was never exactly a stud with women to begin with, but these past couple years at parties or just around in public whenever I try to talk to a girl I'm attracted to they always instantly seem put off and give me a 'screw off' kinda look or almost an apologetic one. See the thing is I lost my hair, two years back my father passed away and after that I got checked for a serious muscle disorder for several months. The extremely high stress have my body a system shock and caused TE which is where follocles are aged and I lost well over half my hair on my head permanently so I have to shave it skinhead bald. I pull it off very well but I really feel like this is the reason no decent girl picks me or even gives me a shot, and to be fair why would an attractive girl with options choose the bald guy? I understand looks do matter for them, (they do for me and I won't be a hypocrite) and I want to know how young women 18-24 would respond if a guy with no hair, full on cue ball bald approached them. (I'm only 20 myself) And if girls believe the constant rejections are due to the bald head or just my imagining its that.

I'm only 20 and have a benign medical condition that made me lose scalp hair, so I just shave the thin stuff that's left, it's full skin shaven bald think like pitbull or Howie Mandel and I'm worried what girls my age will think of it. I can admit looks are the first step in attraction to me and realize to girls it's likely the same, call it shallow if you want but I only need one girl that's attractive in the end I'm not some player, and I'd rather be able to admit looks matter in attraction than someone who says they don't but truly does base on that but doesn't want to admit it (not saying everyone who says looks don't matter is like this but I know many who are) anyway with that aside, young women could you find a young guy without hair attractive and be willing to date him or is it a dealbreaker usually?

I'm 19 and have early balding, it's very thin up top and just looked bad so I opted to shave it all off, it's a skin no hair at all think like pitbull, anyway people say I pull it off, in a slender paler guy but head and face work good with it, but I read so much saying baldness is an automatic turnoff, I realize its not likely a preference but young ladies could you be attracted/date to a young guy with no hair? I think I still look decent but it seems a huge dealbreaker from what I've read and heard.

Had thinning hair since 16 and it got really bad up top so I just shaved it down the the skin, so when I say baldness I mean full blown howie mandel skinhead. My head works good for it but I wonder what young women think. It always seems to be grouped with other usually unattractive qualities like being overweight or scarring etc. By young women and young guys who say they have experience with young women talking about a bald head. So I gotta ask (answer with cold hearted honesty) would you most likely choose the guy with hair? Is a bald young guy at a dating disadvantage when it comes to attraction? Is he seen as less attractive etc.

I have a condition that causes me to lose hair diffusely at 19, meaning no bald spots but very thin all over the scalp, there is no treatment and I opted to shave my head bald, I'm taking Howie Mandell full on skin uptop. No shadow no hair whatsoever, I pull it off alright (surprising as I'm a skinny paler guy) my head shape and face work well it I will say, and I know it was just hair doesn't make or break me personally. But I worry that attractive young women in late teens or early 20's will be much less attracted to me. I didn't have much experience to begin with 19, and never had a serious girlfriend (grew up in a small town with very limited options) and I can be honest with myself and say I need to find my partner physically attractive. I have high standards but I'm not some player in the end I want to be happy with only one girl so I'm not ashamed of the standards, and I understand and respect a girl having the same ideals, so I want to know if having a shaved bald head is seen as attractive or an unattractive trait in young women's eyes, and give personal opinions on what you would do if a young bald guy showed interest in you at a party or on the street etc. Or your opinions on if you think it'll put me at a bad disadvantage compared to 'hairy' guys. Please be honest, I appreciate honesty even if it's not what I want to hear.

I'm an 18 year old guy who has some premature balding, it came on when I got medical exhaustion a while back and my body cut nutrients to non essential functions, (nails stopped growing etc) anyway normally the hair recovers but in my case it made it vulnerable to DHT the testosterone that causes baldness at an old age, now I'm not fully bald or receding really just thin all over so I opted to shave it, to the skin, so when I say I'm bald I mean Howie Mandell skin shaven head. People say it looks good on me. (Surprising as I'm a paler guy more on the slender side, but I've even had a friends girlfriend tell him 'I am worried because I don't think you'll pull it off as good as(insert my name here)-I couldn't even imagine him with hair.' When he asked if she would care if he shaved it. People say I look 21-22 who don't know me so it hasn't aged me, thanks to the baby face, and I really viewed it as something some girls wouldn't like but most wouldn't care about or even would like if I pursued them. However my confidence plummeted when I read on hairloss forums guys saying that being bald young is kryptonite to young women, you can forget about having an attractive young girlfriend, you'll have to severely lower standards if you want to date etc. And they used to pull all the girls and now nothing, I've never had a legit girlfriend and admit looks do matter I have decently high standards and girls do too, so will this make dating harder, and is it a dealbreaker for most young women? Please be honest and picture if one approached you at a party or on the street before you answer.

we get bombarded with axe commercials saying hair is everything, there are a lot of pretty boy types that spend almost as much time on their hair as women now but I want to know if it really matters, I mean I understand if its unkept and looks dirty etc, but my reason for asking is I'm a 19 year old who about a year ago develped a scalp condition where my hair thinned, top sides everywhere looked bad, I shaved it to the skin, not really any other options, I pull it off okay, I'm not jacked or a model but face and head shape work etc. and after an initial panic over the loss I used to it and didn't care. I shave my head I stand out so what? but after reading countless posts on the internet about guys who lost hair young saying you can forget about attractive women the same age now (keep in mind what they said not I) saying they used to get all the girls now get none, that really kills my confidence, I've never had a serious girlfriend or anything close to it really (I lived in a small town with very few options), and marriage young was a big goal of mine, and I admit that looks factor in, I have decent standards-we need to find a person attractive before we can open the door to something more serious I understand women think the same as well and can respect that. But it seems hard to believe to me that just because I don't have hair uptop that girls will usually write me off (as far as a date anyway) So young ladies, is hair that important that it kills a guy's attractiveness if he has none? Have you ever thought a guy with a shaved head was attractive (please don't use celebirty examples) and do you think that with no hair at this age it will make dating or attacting girls much more difficult? Or are those guys who wrote on other forums about how no hair killed their chances just sad people who want to complain about crap on the internet and blame everything on some cosmetic 'flaw'?

My hairloss had been on my mind a lot and I seen another post on here about hair tonight so I figured I'd grow a pair and ask. Do young women find guys with shaved bald heads attractive or is it generally a turnoff? Brutal honesty-I admit looks are a part of attraction so I'm no hypocrite

Since I was very young my hair started thinning, at 18 I got tired of looking old so I got the Bic razor out and shaved it to the skin. It works ok, I'm slender and pale but head shape and face were decent for it. But I'm very self concious and think that most girls my age will not be attracted to it. I admit looks matter, we have to find our partner physically attractive as well as mentally so I don't blame girls for it. But there I a girl a year younger than me,(19 now) I like and want to talk to more but I just can't imagine a good looking 18 year old dating a bald 19 year old even if it's shaved. So I need to know, from young will this really hurt my chances? will I be at a disadvantage compared to guys with hair?

So what do you think? Does it look good? Ok? Bad?

This one is pretty much what I'm going for, except i think i will keep it shorter on the left side than the rest if my head, sort of like this one:

I probably won't grow mine this long, but i do want it to partially cover my eye, and be shorter on the left side. So imagine it looking the same as the first or second picture, but being shaved shorter on the left side like the third picture.

So girls, what do you think? Would you find it attractive if a guy had a haircut like that?
