He is an introvert and barely talks to anyone, always seemed cold and kind of seemed like a jerk saying dirty jokes, so I was surprised when he started approaching me and being friendly. Especially since I'm the most shy, boring, and innocent person ever.

We became friends and pretty sure I'm his only friend on campus. I thought he liked me until few months later he mentioned his long distance girlfriend. He talks adoringly of her sometimes. I'm pretty sure he met me after.

But is it ok for a guy to do these things if he has a girlfriend?:
-frequently offers & meets me to help with homework despite being extremely busy, sometimes twice in a week
-sits next to me in every class
-laughs at all my dumb jokes
-gave me his number, we text eachother funny pics, sometimes conversations that might last hours (never anything sexual)
-once gave me a ride to class
-tries hard not to swear around me since I said I wasn't used to it
-extremely nice to me, tones down his harsh humor and always makes sure he doesn't offend me
-always listens to my problems, giving advice & help, complements my art all the time, even though he otherwise doesn't care about people and finds them annoying

There's a boy at my school who started texting me in the fall, asking to be friends. At first we spoke often, and got to know each other, though he said he was too anxious to hang out in person. After a couple failed attempts to spend time with him due to him having panic attacks, I stopped trying and we didn't talk as often. The last time we texted was on the 14th. He dropped out of the conversation and didn't text me at all until today. Since I was absent from school, he wanted to know why and if I was okay.
Should I reply? Just yesterday, in class, he announced that he was dating his friend (I'll call her H). In the past, he's told me that he liked me and said we should hang out more, but we never did. It's really no surprise that he'd date her, because she's always friendly to him and they hang out a lot.
I was so upset that I turned the volume up on my headphones and put my head down. Before I knew it, I started crying and had to leave, right before class ended. When I went to my next class 10 minutes later, I was still shaking. I really don't know why I was shaking.

I liked him since the day we began talking. It's impossible not to like him - he's perfect. The thought of him being with someone else makes me sick. Yet, I knew it would happen, because he seems like a player and flirts with everyone...

Should I text him, or ignore the jerk? He's my only "friend."
