I've been dating this guy for about a month. We have known eachother for about 3 years and always flirted and talked on and off. Recently we started to become serious. About a week ago I went and stayed with him at his place. I spent a week with him. He showered me with compliments, made sure I was fed and satisfied, and was appreciative for everything I did for him while he was at work. Everything was going great. That is until I got home. My friends little cousin (14) wanted to prank call someone. I offered her his number thinking it would be harmless. She told him she had gotten his number a while back and was looking to do a little "something something". He pretty much invited her over. She asked if she had to come to him or if he would come to her and he told her its up to you. I don't want to tell him I know, because I feel like it was childish to prank call him. At the same time I want go tf off on him! How shall I handle the situation? Tell him off and dump him? Go M. I. A? Or let it go its not that big of a deal?

I have moved in with my food friend, her fiancé and her fiancé's friend Shane. Her fiancé has been trying to flirt with me and asking to hang out with him alone and the other day put his hands on my hips. This has been happening last week and this week... It may seem harmless what he's doing but he only does this when she leaves the house... and the look in his eyes is just so creepy... Their wedding is 4 weeks away and I feel like it would be horrible to tell her this close to the wedding and probably best to just leave it but on the other hand I feel like a terrible friend not telling her hows he's been acting.. what makes it even worse is some random girl came out of nowhere saying she slept with him and his brother at the same time a month ago... he says she's making up shit so she believed him... feel so sorry for her.

The idea that in a relationship, things like minor flirting, ogling other members of the opposite gender, liking/commenting on seductive social media posts, or other subtle borderline romantic/sexual interactions are okay, as long as there is no actual cheating and your partner is still ultimately choosing you.

I personally can't really relate to this outlook. I mean, I understand the idea of letting your partner breathe a little and not controlling their every move. But I feel that if you choose to be in a monogamous relationship, you should be fully and enthusiastically committed to that arrangement. Being true to your partner, in all ways and with your full heart, should not feel like a sacrifice or a chore. I don't see why kinds of micro-indiscretions should be necessary, or desirable, if you're fully and happily committed to your partner. So why do it? And why view it as harmless?

What are your thoughts? if you subscribe to this attitude in a relationship, why do you? If you don't, why not?
