Search Results: what to say at a job interview

hi all! Just going to bullet point these so I don’t ramble.
- I interviewed for a job at a larger publishing company a few months ago and was rejected
- last week, recruiter contacted me about a different position (my dream position), submitted my profile to the job and set me up with an interview
- I know the hiring manager and whole team as clients from my current job.
- The interview went okay, I feel like I was a bit short in a few places because I was nervous, but she said she sees me fitting in to the team
-she likes that I take initiative and says she trusts my background
-I was interviewed before the job listing was even posted
-she told me that it would be a while before I heard anything because she wants to see how I compare to the other candidates
-she said “will make sure someone reaches out to you regardless”

I was looking for jobs online, found one that said full time (which was what I am looking for)
Had my interview with them to day and the chick says "Oh yeah this is seasonal, probably should have mentioned that". I am pissed off, had they told the truth I wouldn't have applied for a seasonal job.
I accepted ( didn't start thinking about it until after the interview) but I don't start until the Monday after Thanksgiving but if I get a job elsewhere I'm going to quit this one before I even have my first day. Is that not cool or is it kind of their fault for lying?

I recently started a new job in an industry I’ve never worked in. I have a guy mentoring me, who has been for the last 4 weeks. I will list everything significant down

- When we had to evacuate for a fire drill, it was raining and he gave me his lab coat to keep me dry

- He said he remembered me from my interview but he only saw me for a few minutes

I told him I did eyelash extensions but none of my friends would let me practice on them. He said “you can do mine if you want”

When he walks past me in the cafeteria he puts his head down and hurries past. The other day, he glanced at me and I smiled but he looked away and walked off.

He looks into my eyes for a few seconds when we talk. I noticed on rare occasions his pupils dilate.

- He has given me a lot of support and compliments about how well I’m picking it up

- He said he thought I was younger than 28

- He has been the only person in our department inviting me to sit with everyone at break time.

- When planning the Christmas do, the manager asked who was bringing their partner and I said I’m single. The guy in question seemed a little more hyperactive and talkative towards me.

Another guy keeps being odd. Today, he asked me if I had invited my crush to go on a walk. The other guy also spoke about me coming to a party and my crush was like “yeah that would be good”

He laughs at most things I say

So there are a few signs that he likes me but I’ve noticed that in the canteen area, when he walks past he will put his head down and hurry past. The other day, he looked at me and I smiled and he practically ran away! Also I text him with a video of some cool stuff and he gave me the bluntest reply. He hasn’t text me since LOL

Disclaimer: I am not trying to pursue anything since he’s married.. I do find him very attractive. He’s an executive of my company who’s the boss of my boss.

Earlier this year some very unfortunate family death happened. I was a mess, tried to quit the job with no notice. Surprisingly he reached out to me and convinced me to stay. We had a conversation that I opened up to him and was totally vulnerable. He was very understanding and offered me a month off ( mind you I was only 2 months into the job). When I came back, I noticed he became more attentive. He would come to my desk and tried to initiate a conversation. We don’t really have a lot in common so he would always ask about my pets, nagged me to bring pictures of them and even offered to print out their pictures for me 😂. He would assign project for me to work with him directly. He skipped an interview with a candidate to attend a welcome back group lunch with me.

I was so depressed in the past few months and lost 30pounds in a few months and so physically I looked very different now. I felt like he looked at me differently and sometimes he checks me out. When I recently dyed my hair, none of the other male coworkers said anything except him. He asked if I changed my hair color and told me it looks good.. Last week he came by my desk and asked me what my Halloween costume was for the work party. It’s a pretty obvious one. I asked him you can’t tell? He paused, looked at me up and down and claimed he doesn’t know lol. Then when I told him what my costume is, he had an smile as if he already knew it and just waited for me to say it out..

He approached me less recently ever since I started acting colder to him. Now he spent more time talking to my boss, who’s married and physically I wouldn’t say she’s his type? He still try to chat with me briefly when he came to talk to her. But then there’s times he initiated a conversation and excused himself abruptly? Not sure if it’s all just in my head.
