My aunt was raised with overprotective parents. They wouldn't even let her sleepover not even with a female friend. She would secretly date her HS sweetheart. Her uncle caught them making out once and made a big scene, dragging her all the way home, yelling about how that's not how young ladies behave, told her parents about it, etc. She got banned from seeing her boyfriend. Her parents were too focused on her waiting till marriage, never drinking nor smoking, that type of upbringing.

Result:
She didn't wait till marriage.
Her HS sweetheart wasn't her first and only boyfriend ever.
She was into parties for a bit as an adult, enjoying the freedom she never had.
She married her 4th boyfriend, a very liberal man.

Liberal/permissive style
She and her husband only had a daughter and she was raised in the liberal manner. She was allowed to go on camping trips and excursions (far from home) with friends, went out on a date at the age of 14 for the first time, didn't have a curfew and at the age of 16 got lectured about safe sex. My aunt didn't want to make the same mistake her family did to her.

Result:
She got pregnant at the age of 18 with her 3rd boyfriend.
Her ex boyfriend still pays child support and is in contact with the child often.
She's now 27, married with another guy and they have 2 kids.
My aunt and her husband thinks they exceeded on her liberalism.

Obviously neither extreme is good but which do you think is worse? Overprotective or very liberal parents?

I feel its a MUST. What if one of you are ok with spanking and one is not? One is ok with gender neutral and one is not? One is ok with raising them religiously and one is not? One is ok with letting the kids cuss and the other is not? One wants to allow the kids to have a pet and the other does not? These are important people 🤷‍♀️ But also, when is the best time to question your potential partner? Some would say once pregnant or trying to conceive but i personally would like to know this before even jumping in the sack. I need to know before the 3 month mark because if we can't come to a compromise then we’re wasting time. On the poll, which refers more to you? My mom was a mixture of A and B (mostly). Im going to be a mixture of A (mostly) and C. What about you?

The thick eyebrows were from when i was 17. My parents prefer me with thicker eyebrows and i am not sure if thinner eyebrows make my forehead look bigger but i do feel more feminine in them. What do you think?

No real explanation needed, but imma give you one anyway: Asian moms are known for their ruthless methods to mold their children into successful human beings. Western moms are known for leniency and a "laissez-faire' parenting style. Which style is more conducive to success?
