Cakes are great but some just are a little boring and disappointing. Two which spring to mind are battenburg cake which misleads you into thinking the sponges have different flavours but their just dry with a tiny bit jam. Then there's the granny's favourite Victorian sponge. A boring pound cake with raspberry jam. I knew someone who was forced out of the women's institute for using strawberry jam.

A common cooking method here is to cram a load of root veg into a tray, half fill with stock and bang in a hot oven. The top goes crispy and bottom melds together. Here I've also chucked in fennel bulbs, mushrooms and leek.

So do you like roast veggies or boiled?

He wouldn’t have to worry about me because I don’t eat on the first few dates 🤣 But when I do, I 100% pick up my steak and eat it like this, WELL DONE STEAK at that, so its probably best I take it to go… by the way not all the gifs are steak, but you get the idea #FeelFreeToList

I was once told that chefs hate cooking steak because their definition of doneness often doesn't match the customers. For example What they call medium, one customer will complain it's rare while another will say it's well done.

Irn-bru is a by-product of the Scottish steel industry. It's made by soaking iron girders in sugar water until it turns ginger before carbonation. Iron deficiency is a problem in Scotland because of cloud cover so the government gives everyone free Irn-Bru.
