When you think about it, the primary motivation behind a theist's good deeds is that of attaining reward in the hereafter and avoiding punishment & damnation. It is an incentive-based preferential morality based off of self-benefit and is thus selfish in nature.

In contrast, an atheist who performs acts of good is doing so without the belief, expectation, nor want of being rewarded in return, and so their acts of good are not as a result of a selfish predisposition.

Of course, there are exceptions on both sides of the story, but I am simply describing the general attitudes of these groups.

Do you agree?

There is no sense to say existed part because unless I put never existed, it is assumed He existed. So no sense to say Jesus existed but was not Son of God when it can be said Jesus was not the Son of God. Him never existing would cover that. Unless you vote B, you are granting His existence. Keep that in mind.

I think we have overwhelming evidence that Jesus is the Son of God and was crucified. Jesus freely gave up his life and allowed the crucifixion to be what brought about His death. He didn't have to allow it but Jesus' free will was to do as God wanted. Jesus had free will to sin or not sin but He chose not to sin.

I don’t want arguments here. I am a Christian, whatever you believe feel free to share it. I don’t want shaming from anyone-that includes atheists. (Some of the most rude comments about others beliefs I have seen are from atheists)

I have more reasons to believe than I can list here. However I do believe there’s so much more to a being than flesh and hormones. I’m not denying aspects of evolution within species or that the world is older than a couple thousand years (the Bible never actually gives a time stamp by the way that’s a myth) but I do believe there are things beyond any scientific comprehension. I believe while science is the how, God is the why.

Anyway, everyone is entitled to their beliefs but be respectful and don’t act like anyone is an idiot for their beliefs. Because no one-Pastor or Scientist-has anywhere near all the answers.

Inspired by the quote by Arthur Schopenhauer:

"A man can do what he wants, but not want what he wants",

meaning that we can control the things we do, but we can't control the things we like or dislike, nor can we control how we feel at any one time (rather, it's more of an involuntary response to the situation which we then choose how to react or cope with it) - but these are precisely the factors which determine our line of action and lifestyle. So in that sense, we don't truly have free will.
