I met this girl last year when I started with the company I'm working for.
We got to know each other more and more during the Superbowl party last year, and we'd talk mildly and mutually flirt. But I backed off when she got a boyfriend. Since then she was really hot or cold with me, and she'd either completely ignore me or ask why I wouldn't say hi to her.
She also has come to me for advice on her relationship and talked to me a lot about it.
I got a new position where I don't work in her location, but I go everyday to pick up supplies and I'd see her from time to time. Up until recently, she'd completely ignore me but she made sure I saw her. Then she randomly started saying hi to me after a few months again.
Last week, she made sure I saw her and she kept watching me but didn't say anything. Today she went out of her way to say hi and wave at me as I was leaving for the day.
Is this affection or just attention?

Would it be fun to write sweet, valentine card or note to your selected GAG Valentines, via GAG/messages or via a post? Would you do it... will you do it for fun?

Or is it weird, unwelcome, odd and make you feel sick inside if you get one from someone you really don't like or know, so it's... blech?

Diff question: Would it be fun to get a Valentines card from someone you've met but don't know well? (assume you are single and want to mingle). Say you work at a bar or coffee shop, or school, you met the guy once, he's nice enough, he shows up next time and gives you a Valentines card or you get one in the mail at work! Does it feel good and warm your nose to him, or is it a negative, create weird vibes, going too fast, and he is "I have a boyfriend, but thanks'ed!".

My view: I think this Valentines thing, although well meaning, is not really good for starting anything or expressing interest and generally a bad idea. There are better ways to show ones interest and affection than a hyped up holiday that creates pressure, but what do you females think?
