This will be LONG so I will put a poll and I don't blame you for not replying.

This girl I got to know for some time now, she's an immigrant in which English isn't her first language but she can still speak it. I don't think she is shy but she seems very reserved and I still don't know if she is single or not.

We chat for awhile now whenever I see her, I always initiate first contact to her (she only did once for me) but she seems to enjoy talking to me.

She would tell me to come to her other workplace sometime but never tells me when is her shift which I found odd, she made me something on her culture holiday and pass it as something she also did with her friends and felt the need to tell me this.

Her folks seems like they like me because she also works with her family in which I often see her there. She would casually sometimes walk front entrance of my work (at-least my co-worker points it out to me) close to where I am working but I don't notice because I get distracted by idiots asking me stupid questions.

I asked if she wants to go out with me in person on the holidays and she said yes, I rephrased it again through text and I couldn't tell if she said yes but more like "Let's just finish with our education first." (There was a yes before that sentence but I couldn't tell if it was on a different subject of the conversation because we multi-task our text convos in by the way she replies in paragraphs, smileys, etc)

I saw her at her other workplace she introduced me to one of her friends who wants to take the same subject I graduated in and so we chatted little.

Now here's the part I don't understand, we seem to enjoy casual chatting (keep in mind I always initiate first encounter) but sometimes when I play it cool and not to make myself look like someone who's needy or too attached I avoid a few days from seeing her NOT INTENTIONALLY but she would never even text me or visit me except that one time where she wanted to give me a gift.

Hey ladies I am just looking for your input here. I have been dating a girl that I really like and things are going extremely well and I am going to ask her if she wants to be my GF. Which I am positive she wants to, but I would like to buy her something to start the relationship out.

I know that generally things like anniversaries and whatnot are the usual things to celebrate and buy gifts for, but I feel as though the start to new beginnings is often over-looked and I want to get her a little something to express my feelings on beginning a relationship with her..

And so I like to get gifts that are original/unique especially in this situation.. I am just a little weary of buying things like jewelry because I don't want her to feel pressured to wear it if she doesn't want to/doesn't like it etc.. It'd be great if she loved it so much that she wore it, but I am perfectly OK if she just hangs it up or something somewhere. But still I am weary that she will feel pressured to so I don't know this is where you come in...

I am looking for something subtle but still really cool/pretty. me and this haven't spoken for a little more than a month we use to be pretty close now it feels like a mountain between us. anyway i tried to close it by giving her a bday gift and she texted me and told me thank u. but also said she was upset about something i did i asked her what she said she didn't wanna talk about it over text. said ok.
stooped texting now a few days later i ask her if she wants to meet up and talk about it in person. she tells me an 2 hours later that she has class which is true, and also says she has a test she has to study for today. i replyed whats bugging, something obviously is. i dont wanna talk about it at work and honestly i dont like the distance between us. so if wanna talk and tell me whats up and cut what ever the problem is. we can talk on the phone after i get out of class tonight. is that cool.
i got no response. so, imma take that as a either im so mad i dont want to deal with u, or a please stop bugging me, i dont want to talk and im just fine with the distance. should i give up on this girl or try and figure out the problem and try to get back to what we were?
