Pure curiosity, and I'm just looking for your personal opinion.

So really the woman would do all the cooking, cleaning raising the kids, and the household chores. The man works and brings home the money but is still the 'protector' of the family. That also means men would have to pay for dates and pay for their wives upkeep like hair, nails, clothes, etc. since she wouldn't work or, if she did, it would be a more "feminine" job with no authority like a secretary or something and she wouldn't have a lot of money. If you want to lump teacher and nurse in there, you can.

I know financially it would be difficult in 2018, but I'm only talking in terms of being with someone, not necessarily being able to afford a luxurious lifestyle. Being honest, most families with traditional gender roles in the 40's and 50's didn't live a luxurious lifestyle, either, so that's not really anything new.

But do you think dating would easier?

Feminism is not about hating men! It's about equal opportunity for everyone!

Women can be construction works, welders, engineers, and lawyers. Men can be secretaries, child care workers, nurses, and hair dressers.

Both genders are more than capable of helping with household chores, cooking, changing diapers. A woman should not be considered a "bad mom" for working hard at her job. A man should not be considered "whimpy" for wanted to stay at home to look after the kids. If a man wants to work a lot or if a woman wants to stay at home that's fine too, but it's THEIR choice.

So many people seem to have twisted ideas on feminism. Feminism is not preaching girls rule boys drool.. it's empowering everyone to have equal opportunity.

So, I just turned 18 in August of last year and I recently learned how to do my own laundry, I just started to wash dishes and I still don't know how to cook, and I've never washed a bathtub my entire life. My parents would always do my laundry, would always cook for me, I would rarely take out the trash and my mom would always do the dishes. I would never help with household chores, or even help my dad fix basic things. I'm 18 now and I'm not allowed to cook without them being home. My little sister is 11-12 years old and mom still washes her hair, I wasn't washing my own hair until I was in high school only because I had to fight/ argue with my mom to allow me. Is this normal? I am 18 and I don't even know how to budget money. I started taking the bus places and I'd often feel lost, or not know my way home even if I was very close to it because I didn't know the streets. When I was in high school I would barely leave the house and when I did i was always with my parents or it was for a very short period of time. Is this normal for someone who's 18?
