Search Results: afraid to make commitments

So I've been "seeing" this guy for almost 3 months now. He's a few years older than I am but that doesn't seem to really matter since we have been hanging out quite often. He's very respectful and kind towards me and we seem to have a great connection.
We ended up sleeping together not too long ago and we still have been sometimes when we go out. I don't know if he has any intentions of dating me or anything but I would prefer to be dating someone and having a relationship.
We both kind of do our own thing and hang out when we have free time since we are both always busy and our schedules tend to work for the both of us.
Now this is where I don't know what to do.. I can either ask him what it is that he wants between us and make it kind awkward or I can just let this play itself out.
I really enjoy his company and I like hanging out with him but I'm afraid that I might make things awkward by asking him those questions.
I kind of get the feeling he just wants to be friends but have a good time if we're both up for it.
I know he's not sleeping or seeing anyone else and neither am I..
I have been talking to other guys and just going out and having fun since I have no commitment to this guy I have been seeing.. but am I wasting my time?
I have been out of the dating/relationship scene that I can't decide what to do.
Just from how we are we're basically great friends who have sex and go out and talk about everything. Like I said this doesn't really bother me and of course this isn't bothering him but what should I do?
