Search Results: too close or too distant

I asked a guy if there was a sth going on between us as I honestly believe there is. He then told me he didn't feel that way. This was through text. He then added that I should not worry about asking him and that it was cool that I asked. This felt like overcompensating - he feels bad he made me doubt myself when there clearly is something

I'm rationally thinking it through and it does not add up. He has shown on many instances that he cares (e. g not wanting me to overwork, always helping out, not wanting me to stay out late), lingers when leaving, tries to touch me. I can pinpoint the moment when he became distant - it was right after a tension-filled meeting where the vibe between us was so intense - he had this soft endearing look on him at one point and that both scared and excited me.

The next time we met, he wasn't just indifferent - he was cold and standoffish when we met (it was so bizzare) but then it cracked and by the end, he couldn't stop smiling around me. I'm not sure if it was the intensity of how he felt that scared him? He is the overly apologetic type and a bit socially inept too - i think he has self-esteem issues as he's constantly deprecating/explaining himself. There were times when I wanted to reach out and give him a hug as I felt he could use it though he's very well built. It's like as though he could use some emotional support

In any case, I'd like to meet him to find out if it really was all in my head or if there is sth holding him back. A close friend from HS of mine passes away last year and seeing her fiance in shambles (tehy were tgth for just 2 years but made each other so happy) last year that made me realise life's too short for what ifs. But again, is it wishful thinking on my part?

Not too long ago my sister and I had a falling out and she wasn't talking to me. After a family meeting we resolved everything and from my understanding went back to normal after an apology and a hug. Fast foward months later she calls my house and asks to speak to my husband. I passed him the phone and he told me that she asked if he could give her a ride to the smoke shop. He asked me if I was okay with it and I said its cool.
A couple of weeks later my sister calls and I missed the call. I huried to call her back and said to my husband that I don't want her think I wasn't answering her calls. He then asked me why are we still arguing with eachother. I said we aren't. We made up already. He then told me that during the ride to the smoke shop she asked him if she was a good sister and why was I distant from her. She proceeded to complain to him about me and mentioned that she stopped doing my daughter's (who is also her god daughter's hair) a few years ago because of how I was with her. She also asked him to promise to not tell me what she said.
I was furious. I suspected for a while that she was never close with her niece and nephews because how she felt about me. She even blurted out 3x that I wasn't her sister. So she finally admited that she stopped doing something for her niece becausw of me.
I draw the line when it comes to kids, especially my kids. My blames my husband for telling me stating that he said it to brake the family up. I empathically disagreed and said that my sister 1. Had no place in talking to my husband about me and asking him to keep it from me. 2. She was totally wrong forusing my daughter to get to me by not doing something for her as an Aunt.
I would like your honest opinion. Was my husband wrong for telling me or was my sister wrong for talking behind my back to my husband and asking him to keep it a secret?
