i think i had an eating disorder when i was younger, i definitely had disorder eating patterns in high school and based on some information i've read for a class i'm in, i seem to have had bulimia (i didn't know at the time because i never made myself vomit, but i would go through phases where i would starve myself, exercise a lot, etc.). but now when i learn about EDs, sometimes it makes me want to stop eating, like something in my head tells me to stop eating or sometimes i get an urge to make myself throw up if i read about it and have eaten a lot today.

i know this is probably very weird, please don't be mean. i just want to know if this ever happens to anyone else?

What do you think? Do you 'believe' in eating disorders? Do you count them as real mental disorders, or do you think people who struggle with them are just faking it for attention? And do you believe that the (mostly) girls could just cure themselves by eating?
