i like the taste of icing, but i hate eating icing.
Ever since i was little i would always scrape the icing off of my cake, or cupcake & eat the cupcake itself.
I hate eating icing... & I don't know why
the most i would do is taste test the icing but i'm not eating it..

its too sweet..
its too thick.. & i just don't like it

This is something that was brought up to me recently, as it seems there's this impression that you aren't very manly if you ask your partner to split the bill.

This is a rather loaded opinion though, because it's one thing if the male just has a ton of money to spare, more then enough for the both of them, or if the female just is incapable of doing so. Either by being a dedicated housewife "for some reason" or just straight up doesn't have the money.

However, it's another thing entirely for the women to be more then capable of contributing (in some cases making more then the man) and just chooses not to.

Believing that any money she makes is for her and her alone. Basically one of those cases where you want your cake and eat it too.

Personally I think both partners should contribute, as if they are deeply invested in each other it will help things down the line financially. That said, I do think whoever makes the most should invest the most. But both partners should contribute 50/50, 60/40, 70/30. Whatever works between the 2 of you, if for no other reason then a show of good faith.
