For me, personally, I came from a rather bitch ass family... not quite abusive, but very rude, and they never let me be what I truly wanted to me. I thought I was fine being alone, but having someone to share life with just made it so much better.

Not only that, but ever since I met her my confidence has been higher than ever, and I made a few good friends besides her as well. Nothing fancy, only about three close male friends I grab a beer or coffee with every week. But that's all I need. And before I had NONE, so it's an upgrade, totally.
