She used to treat you differently to other friends, follow you everywhere, laugh at all your jokes, look at you with admiration and stare into your eyes. But after 6 months she stopped acting that way and when asked out, she said she thinks you’re a great person and she enjoys spending time with you but she just wants to be friends so doesn’t want to date.

I had really liked my coworker, and I finally asked her out. We went on two dates and it was fantastic. So I figured things were gonna keep going, and she made the comment on the second date she was holding out on me to ask her out.

But, she cancelled our third date because of a schedule conflict, which whatever. But one of my friends told me later that she saw her with another guy that night, and they came to her baby shower acting like a couple.

I came to find out the guy was another coworker of ours and he had gotten hostile with me over me going out with her.

I asked the girl about it and she brushed it off, saying it was just for fun, we weren't in a relationship, and he's been the only one to ask her out besides me.

I went up to him, said I wasn't interested in being in a love triangle, and she was all his. I told her I didn't want to go out on our next date and she too it a bad way, and I didn't ask her out again, and she treated me like crap afterwards and they continued to go out. But it seems less awkward at work.

Although, her sister happened to work with us, and one night when it was just us, she mentioned she wished things went different, cause I was a good guy and the other guy was a pig and she made the wrong choice.

I feel like I did the right thing, but I'm not sure.
