Guys, what am i doing wrong?

It seems like the guys who are the most straightforward are players or assholes!

I rarely reject anyone, cos i like to give people a chance. But at the same time, i never ask anyone out, but i do flirt with them
And all i get is guys staring at me, but i assume they aren't interested cos they're friendlier towards other girls.

One guy, was act hot and cold the entire year. He was being really friendly, the next day, being a cold unfriendly asshole and ignoring me when i say hi. Then getting angry when i talk to other guys. He also tells his friends not to talk to me, probably cos it makes him jealous. Then i find out that he has a girlfriend that he's in love with!!

Yet he tells his uncle "i really like Keziah, but i dunno, cos i tried saying hi to her but she didn't seem interested, i dunno what to do!"
But i dont see ANY effort coming from him, except from staring at me. He also tells other people (who im friends/aquaintances with) that he thinks im beautiful etc.
But it's really shitty, cos he has a girlfriend, i feel like he wants to mess with people's feelings!

Another guy, I went on a date with yesterday, he got only £10 out the cash point, took me to McDonald's and then got mad when i wanted a latte for £1.60, rather than a 50p orange juice. Then we went to the pub, and made me pay for the drinks "cos he has no money left and it was ONLY fair". Then he took me down a dodgy road and insisted that we sit on a bench, then he said "what do you think of couples who kiss and make out on public benches?" and i said that "its not my type of thing". Then i sat on another bench away from him and he called me a bitch, then i said "ok bye". I wasn't that interested in the guy, but i thought i might as well give him a chance. Also, i spent more money on him, than he did on me! I think he only wanted to use me!

So I met this guy at the beginning of school year. Im actually 17 and not over 18 lol. I started this account a while back and lied my age. Anyways, this guy is a friend a of close friend of mine. We all sit together on a table during the class we have together with my close friend and another friend. From day one, he was teasing me that I should smile more cuz I look depressed when I dont. I took it as a joke and didn't think much of it. But he kept telling me this almost everyday and trying to be funny about it. One day, I asked why he was always telling me to smile and he said "Im happy when you're smiling". I didn't say anything after that. Then he asked (we're texting) why I dont post more pictures of myself and I guess he thought I was insecure (not insecure, I just dont feel like posting a bunch of pics of myself), and said "youre so beautiful when you smile and I just wish you would see if yourself." I didn't respond to that either and he got the message that it made me uncomfortable and stopped texting me stuff like that. I also stopped responding when he asks me to smile so he stopped too. He would also mess with my stuff when Im not in class. Sometimes he would be a little too concerned about my wellbeing over stupid stuff like if I had a bandage over my finger or if Im sleepy/hungry. He once bought an entire box of pizza just for me when I specially told him not to. I noticed he isn't like this with my friends and he would always wait for me (nobody else) to leave class with before he goes and he follows me in the direction Im headed (sometime I switch how I get to class) until we have to separate. I don't know. If it had been anybody else, I wouldve thought they like me. But people who have known him for longer than me said he's overly caring sometimes and thats just his personality. I don't know if he's just being overly nice and if thats just him. He also dialed back down bc I think he noticed I dont like it when people are overly caring with me (Im not very sensitive)

Does your boyfriend ever belittle you?

I get that a lot. My boyfriend sometimes belittles my ideas or intellect as to make me feel stupid or something. I know im not stupid, its just him trying to assert some sort of superiority over me. He also does this when it comes to attractiveness - he tries to make me feel like im "alright" or average. I dont know, it does bother me and kinda makes me want to be with someone else. Other times he will try to balance the scales tell me im smart beautiful etc. I don't know which one is the BS. Why would a guy do that?
