They told me what I was talking to them about was weird, strange and I will be avoided at school if I bought these up. I don't understand why. Won't a lot of kids my age want to talk about these things?

A guy was talking about how his mother didn't take care of him and I asked him if he felt angry or had any negative feelings towards his mother. He acted like I insulted him, like I was being rude and told me to leave me alone.
