One of my guy friends and I, who had been debating politics for hours on end on Insta with me, suddenly got on the topic of his ex-girlfriend. He had been sending me poems about different emotions of his, and they were really beautiful. Then, he brought up that topic.

He was telling me how it was hard to get over her, especially since he saw her everyday. They had known each other for so long and developed such a connection that was hard to let go of, according to him. He even went into explicit sexual details of some of the things they did together on a daily basis (which I didn't need to know or asked about).

Then he was was asking me about the sexual stuff I've done. Then he began to wonder about my friend who he thinks is attractive, but said he would only have sex with her and not actually date. Our conversation eventually returned to him sending me more poems.

I just don't know where I fit into this. He said he used to have a friend like me to confide in and get things off of his chest. He's also begun to get physical with me. Like, sometimes to move me or get my attention, he'll grab me by my shoulders and scoot me out of the way. 😂 Am I just a good friend? Or could he possibly be interested in me?

So my ex broke up with me last month. We were together for 5 years, and made a commitment to each other to always support one another. Like any relationship, things weren't perfect. I've been struggling with finding a job in my field since graduating last year. This has been a topic of debate that has caused some fights between us in the past, but we always ended up making up. About a month before the breakup, my boyfriend started to distance himself from me, picking overtime work on the weekends and not calling me during the week. I knew something was wrong, but I really didn't want to push it. One night, I called him and he pretty much exploded at me. He said we would talk about it the next day as he was too tired. The next day he showed up at my place with my stuff and said he "couldn't handle the stress and more", that he "needed to be alone" and that he was "sorry". I was hurt, and all I could do is cry.

I really don't know what to do if he wants to get back together again (if that happens). I still have feelings for him, but he really hurt me and it makes me wonder how he will be able to deal with major life events in the future. Do you think I should give him a second chance if he comes back?
