I’ve never been in a relationship and no girl has ever showed interest in me. I’m a really shy guy. This one girl for the past few months has kinda been flirty with me and then distant so I didn’t think anything of it. I honestly was just being myself most of the time but somehow she interpreted it as flirting, I mean I have flirted with her but she didn’t seem to return it so I backed off. Anyways, she asked to talk to me after work on Friday so I agreed to it but then I left early. So today she wanted to talk to me after work and I asked her about what and she said stuff but wouldn’t really say what. So I rolled with it. I actually distanced myself from her today on purpose. she straight out asked me if I’ve been flirting with her and I said no I’m just being myself and she’s like oh I thought you were and was wondering if you wanted to hang out and I said I’m not interested and I know your probably hurt that’s the last thing I want but yeah sorry. And she said oh ok. Her twitter is full of - “who cares about my feelings? This guy played me for months - leading me on, and tries to play me off like a fool. I have feelings you know. I don’t like being played. He’s probably thrilled with himself over the fact that I’m upset. It’s exactly what he wanted.” And my personal favorite straight to me - “hey jake sorry for putting you in an awkward situation tonight... I guess I thought you were flirting with me and kinda got feelings.. and I guess it’s probably my inner desire for wanting a boyfriend or something... anyways I guess that’s what I get for being stupid so yeah sorry” like how am I supposed to respond to that? I do feel bad and I honestly didn’t mean to say that. I do like her however I am super busy with school and barely have time to work. I honestly didn’t want to tell her that and I feel terrible.
