My boyfriend never had a good relationship with his parents and basically wants nothing to do with them. It was his birthday yesterday and he turned 17. His mom kept calling me a girl, she/her & my deadname/given name. I found that disrespectful. But I acted nice since it was my boyfriend's birthday. When he went to go to the washroom, she told me "I would like to call you by your given name, it's so beautiful & since you're pregnant, of course your a female" yet I have a transgender friend I know who works with her at a restaurant and she calls him; his preference name. Another thing is let's say someone name was Ken but they rather be called Kennedy (since I don't want to give out his name). His mom kept saying "Ken" when he would prefer "Kennedy" and she object to the idea of calling him that. Which he would fight with her all the way to the place in the car. His dad doesn't like it either but he at least calls me Damien. I may be pregnant but I don't ever consider myself a mother to it since that a female term for a women. I consider myself a caregiver instead or a parent or a father. My boyfriend will say you are " a motherly father ". But since I haven't had surgery (from not being old enough to afford it) and my parents are against abortion. I'm being mature, keeping the baby and holding off on my transition. Putting the baby needs over mine is what I say. But I don't see how that makes me a girl when I've seen trans man have babies since they want their own and still consider themselves a male. Everyone has their own opinion, and I never planned on having a child, maybe adoption when I was older. But even being pregnant I consider myself a male, just my body isn't until further notice. I wear binders still until it going to make my chest sore. Then I'll have to start wearing sports bras, not actually bras. But I'm going to wear male clothes throughout this time. His mom just doesn't help with her opinions, which I find mean since she's full-on Christian.

My father and I recently sat down and had a not too pleasant discussion about ther women in my life. He says he wants me to be more open and talkative about my dating life, like i had been with one specific ex. I tried explaining that I've never had a real connection with any girlfriend except her and naturally have only had one relationship last longer than a few months, and it was also her[nearly 2 years]. I tried to tell him that if I see a female being in my life for a decent amount of time, she will no doubt definitely be introduced to my family, and if not, she won't. Well apparently one of my close friends of famil members have been telling him about someone I have supposedly been dating for months and he's upset trying to pick my brain about her and why i won't talk about her. I tried to tell him that i do in fact like her, but we haven't been dating at all and of course he doesn't believe me. My thing is, if you hate being lied to, and know i hate being called a liar, it would make more sense to trust me and what im telling you from a first person standpoint rather than going through this game of telephone through friends and family to figure it out. So through the talk he's asking questions of what he thinks he 'knows'and I'm denying them, which is only making him upset and me as well being called a liar. He said he wants us to grow closer, not further apart and my solution is to keep my love life far away from him, because once he gets in his head what he 'believes' to be the truth, it doesn't matter what i tell him its automatically, 'you're right here lying to my face'. I only see talking about it more pissing us both off more and have elected to just keep him in the dark, he can just deal at this point, better than us both getting pissed off and upset about some lies he was told by someone else that he chooses to believe over his own son.
