Maria is 22 and has a four year old son named Marvin. Maria is a single mother. ( her boyfriend was 83 when he died) Maria is trying to raise her little boy into a man but she doesn't know how too. Maria teaches Marvin how to cook food, how to garden and keep his room clean. Sometimes she dresses Marvin in light pink or blue sweaters. Marvin likes making cookies. He makes little designs on the cookies and enjoys showing people the cookies. Sometimes he blushes a little. Marvin likes playing with Legos, building blocks and gardens with his mother. Marvin is typically a quiet friendly boy.

One day Marvin felt angry at his cousin so Marvin bit her. ( he likes bitting) Marvin even bites his 5'9 uncle one time. His uncle yelled and pushed him to the ground. Marvin felt terrified. He never felt so scared in his life and he started crying. Maria picked him up to comfort him. Marvin still likes being held by his mother when they go out.

Basically. I work one day a week in a nursery. I don't like it? But it's part of my remit, so I do it anyway.

I'm in there to work with an ASD child, who, today was playing happily outside with his peers for about half an hour. This is a rare thing, so I stood back and let him play.

As as this was happening, a little girl was building a Lego castle, and making a really nice job of it. However, one small boy kept coming over and trying to ruin what she had made. The little girl complained to me, and after warning the little boy three times to stop, he continued to deliberately knock down her castle. At that, I took him by the hand and told him to go play elsewhere.

Of course, he got stroppy and threw himself on the ground while crying. I thought, fine. He'll come out of it on his own. I turned my back to help with the little girls castle then turned back to the little boy. Just as I did, another kid literally clipped him with one of those toy car things that pre schoolers can drive.

He wasn't hurt in any way, and the car had barely touched him. I just said 'up you get now' and at that, one of the nursery nurses asked what had happened. I explained to her.

At that, she demanded 'why didn't you pick him up?' I was kinda stunned and replied with '... because I didn't think it was necessary?'. She then snapped back at me, and I just told her it wasn't my responsibility to be doing these things. She then pointed to the ASD child who was playing happily and said 'well go and be with your responsibility then!' In a commanding tone. I basically told her she's not my line manager, and I don't take orders from her.

I tried once more to talk things through with her, only for her to accuse me of watching a small child get knocked down and badly injured by this toy car. At that, I got thoroughly offended that she'd even accuse me of such a thing, that I took it to my boss.
