Let's say you are 6 years old and your brother is 11 and your other brother is 4. Your mother often yells, screams, hits him and your father is always breaking things and taking food off your plate. Your brother has anger issues and often yells at you and calls you pig because your overweight. He calls you a fat pig. Or just disgusting. One day your 11 year old brother pulled a knife out on you, he put it too your throat and told you, if you don't listen to me, you'll be headless! When you were sleeping, you woke up with him sitting on top of you with a knife in his hand glaring at you. He put the knife to your throat again and told you to go clean up the kitchen or he'll stab you. to make sure you clean everything up he will come in the kitchen with you, while holding the knife. Later after your father beats your mother to a bloody pulp, he grabs your 11 year old brother and they go into the bedroom with the door locked. You just hear your brother crying and begging your father stop and hear sharp slapping noises and your father telling him to his ass like that. When your brother comes out he can barely walk, and looked sick.

A week later your brother comes in your room with two socks, sits on your chest and tries to shove the socks down your throat, you couldn't breathe for 30 seconds but your mother came in and stopped it. A week later your father was arrested. Years later your brother says he loves you, says you look great and buys you a new computer.

I feel stuck here and discouraged now. He’s my best friends brother and I’ve liked him for 3 years. when we saw eachother on the regular he’d always turn back a little and when I caught him he’d quickly turn.

He’d always compete with me and when I beat him he was super impressed. I remember him jokingly saying something to my friend and he quickly retook it calling me the enlightened one etc.

when I said congrats to him he was tryna hide his face and smile shyly with a wink on video since she texted me his response. When I baked him brownies he said thank you shyly and with a cute smile , he had his hand covering his mouth with a smile after because he thought the video had needed.

One day when he wasn’t being so shy he kept referencing me a lot saying I wouldn’t risk what his sister had done at school, and he said bye to me that day in a happy manner.

When my parents mentioned something about girls to his father his father looked at me for whatever reason. There’s more but here’s the issue. One of my friends was scoping out from his sister about him. She said he has liked someone for a while now and that she didn’t know how he’d feel about me she herself doesn’t know.

They’re tryna get him to come to a get together and somehow get us to talk more. Do you still think I have a chance? He’s two years older than me, I’m a junior in hs and he’s a college freshie. What can I do?
