Putting reality aside for a moment, which would you rather be:
1. Be at an amazing level of fitness (both in terms of strength and endurance) but look like you're severely overweight. Not quite obese but certainly close to it. You'd basically look like you lived on the couch, drank 15 beers a day, had McDonald's for every other meal and only got up to eat, sleep, piss or shit. However, you'd have no problem lifting great weight, running huge distances, you'd practically swim like a fish, and you'd be flexible and acrobatic.
OR
2. Have little to no physical fitness whatsoever but look like you're in great shape. You'd have great abs, appear to have a very low body-fat percentage, you'd have the legs, ass, chest, shoulders, and arms that you want to have. Yet you'd struggle with any form of exercise, tiring almost immediately.

Note: This is NOT supposed to be a realistic question. I know that bigger people can be fit, that isn't what this question is about! If you've ever seen Spy Kids 3, Surrogate, Avatar, or any movie where people have one body (their real body) but live through a separate body (a surrogate body) then that's closer to what I'm trying to describe here. For example, if you chose option 1 then your fat wouldn't get in the way of your activity.

I hear people advocate constantly about why men and women can not be equal. One of the arguments is the biological difference between the 2. I. E men are biologically stronger.

So on paper in a bout between the most physically fit man and woman, the man would generally win most of the time. Note I said on paper.

See there's this myth that men are just better then women at every sport, however there are 2 that I can Think of where women tend to beat men out that being long distance swimming and anything involving acrobatics.

To put it simply the most physically fit woman is generally lighter, more agile, nimble and flexible. Where as a man would be stronger physically but also heavier and much more stocky

So to put it simply the typically ideal physically fit man, is physically stronger but also heavier and thus much slower. Whereas the typically ideal physically fit female is lighter and physically weaker, but much more quicker and agile.

Now we return to the combat situation, assuming the girl can't slip out of the man's grasp all the dude has to do is pin her down and that's it game over, however the woman would likely go for critical points such as knee joints, or go for the neck or balls.

Is it a more difficult situation for the woman absolutely, but far from unwinnable. Keep in mind this is also a hypothetical between a man and woman at peak physical condition. In practice this is hardly the case as women kick men's ass in martial arts all the time.

So I say again, what matters is not the strength of ones arm, but the skill by which one hones it.
