Search Results: making me feel guilty

My current company knew I wasn’t happy at the front desk, and CREATED a promotional job for me as a coordinator (making 7k more). I’ve been there for 3 years and have built up some relationships with people.

But my new team kind of makes me miserable. People are catty, and even go as far to report each other anonymously to HR. My lead vouched for me to get this job, but she is a very abrasive person and I don’t like the way she talks shit about other people. We have this weekly Wine Friday and the entire time is spent talking shit about everyone. When I try to get out of going, my lead continues to persist. My other coworker sits right by me and is a major distraction. She talks to me constantly even though I only give one word responses. I come home with headaches.

I applied another job when I was irritated from the Wine Friday last Friday night. It’s at a pet insurance company, where you can bring dogs to work. They want to have me in for a phone screen.

I feel incredibly guilty, since my company created this job for me and this other job has the same title so it would be like I used them to leverage myself. I can’t use the excuse that I found out the work just wasn’t for me, because it’s the same work.. just at a different company. If I leave, I would burn major bridges.

What do I do? I feel so stuck.
