I'm inmediately skeptical of supposed philanthropists whose accomplishments are vaunted in lieu of criticism of how they attained their wealth or negative effects of their economic role in society. I often feel the media is incentivized to exclaim how virtuous rich people are, & that this can innoculate people to the increasing reality of wealth disparity between rich and poor.

I say this in the context of people like Mark Zuckerburg, Bill Gates, the Koch brothers, etc.

Though, I definitely don't agree with the notion that all rich people are bad or that you should immediately be suspicious of wealthy people. I just feel that given the incentive structures of cable companies and media corporations, a lot of the celebrities and media figures palling around with wealth leads to conflicts of interest which render whole TV channels & other epicenters of culture as a PR apparatus for the super rich & their associates.

Let's be real; we all work to get money and to survive. That is the main reason we all work. For some people, work is fun and fulfilling and for others it's quite the opposite.

1. I went to college for media studies and journalism. At my current job, I was a copywriter, and that was fun. Then, a few months into my job, they told me they are abolishing the my role and giving it to marketing, so they moved to Customer Success.

2. I don't enjoy my job.

3. I feel the people there are very cliquish, there is a lot of favoritism that happens in the office, and the company as a whole is very disorganized - broken processes, broken product, and bad company politics.

When I interviewed with the CEO for the copywriter position, I even told him I've been doing customer service for 10 years and wanted a switch up. Yet, he ended up getting rid of my position and putting me in customer service, and he's not very appreciative of his workers.

4. I always wanted to be a writer for comics and television. I actually have my own comic book out and I almost had a TV deal. I'm still working on making this a reality.
