Search Results: when should a guy stop pursuing a girl

He and I are both 44 years old. We've been having a pretty tight phone/photo/email romance for several months. It started out with calls for hours and as his job changed, we talk/text/email less, but he is still as "sincere" with his feelings when we do talk, and doesn't sound like he's giving me some story. He is divorced wth kids who live at home with him and a sucky job where he works 6pm to 2 am. He sounds pretty responsible and when we DO talk, he is down to earth, and not "slick" , but I can't help thinking that he is still looking for other women on the dating site we met on. HE brought up that he isn't going to pursue anyone else until he sees if it is going to work with me, but that I can go date if I want to". I said I'm busy too, so if he/I can focus that would be best. When we talk it's great, but he says he has had a lot of work stuff on his mind and his teenage daughter is acting out, he's doing taxes, etc. He goes into detail sometimes and it IS a chaotic time, but wouldn't he still want to talk to me every OTHER day at least if he really likes me? (Thinking about "he's just not that into you")_ I know he has a life and I don't want to be a pest, but is there ONE WAY I can ask about his feelings without scaring him away? He says he loves and misses me when we talk, but he is more distracted these days. Is it my insecurity, as we girls like to talk to guys every moment of every day and they are OK with once a week? I told him that I'm not going to bug him by calling him and he said 'hon, that's ok...I like when you call". But this evening, he didn't respond to my text, so is he asleep or did he go on a date? Or should I stop wondering and just go do something for myself?
