I've never met the guy but we have mutual friends and have been added for 4 months on several apps. In the beginning he mentioned how we could be best of friends and go to an event, but Corona started to spread so meeting up hasn't been mentioned. Communication was more back and forth in beginning but is not consistent now. I would say maybe once every 2 weeks he will Snap me or respond back to my story. He views ALL of my stories on Snap and Insta everyday. 3 months ago he posted something on his story re enacting a post I have on Insta and it was of his friend. So I'm assuming he has at least mentioned me. Twice he has posted something of mine to his story and has tagged me, so obviously his friends have seen it. The thing is, as any other female, I have Insta stalked his page and his guy friends. And I notice they all follow the same new girls and most of them are bartenders. Any time a guy and his friends followed me was when the dude was trying to hook up. So I'm wondering are none of his friends following me because my crush actually likes me and doesn't just see me as a hook up, but because of covid our contact is limiting? Or is he simply not that interested?

This happened a few days ago.
I was standing at the bar talking with the (female) bartender a university classmate & this guy who was a bit tipsy came up a few times (once after eyes met when I was looking over my shoulder, once by himself but he'd seen me prior). Never said a word & the last time he forgot what he was gonna say to her / proceeded to retreat to the table. I'm not "dishing" him it was actually sort of cute.

So I know I'm late to this, but I've never noticed how much guys will try to "fix" your problems when you vent to them. My boyfriend is very guilty of this, and I even have to tell him beforehand that I'm just venting, not necessarily looking for a solution but I do appreciate that every time I have problems, he's jumping on a solution to help me.
Guys also seem kinda offended if you're not dating, let's say just friends, and you talk to them about problems. Apparently that's "friendzoning", which is confusing to me. Because I've never gotten upset or bothered by a female or male friend telling me their problems. I don't only talk about positive things with friends because life isn't always rainbows and sunshine.
Talking about your problems is helpful to me. I don't always have to have a solution right then and there. Just confiding in someone lifts some of the stress off my shoulders. I wish more men did this rather than bottle it up. But I wonder if it'd be helpful to them if they did? I wonder why more men don't. As a bartender, I remember a lot of dudes confiding in me very serious issues - divorces, cancer, loss of family members etc. And I always wondered why they "needed" to drink in order to begin venting?

My question is, do men vent or talk about their problems? To who do you vent to? Do y'all find it helpful? Why or why not? And if it's not helpful, what other coping mechanisms do y'all have when things get stressful?
