Search Results: looking at a guys facebook or myspace

So this new facebook movie seems interesting. I've been doing some web snooping if you will for the past couple of days on mark zuckerburg. I've never seen so many people trying to sue some guy for "stealing" their idea.

Doesn't anyone ever ask the question, if it was your idea, what took you so long to bring it out? What did mark have that you didn't? Why didn't you release it before mark?

Hell I'll be the first to admit I'm jealous of the guy, I mean he's worth BILLIONS over a social network. Do I agree with letting EVERYONE on facebook - no. Do I think that he should have kept it a college based community requiring a .EDU email address - YES.

I'm just so blown away how many people hate people for their money and are so quick to say "hey that was my idea" wel as far as I'm concerned anyone talking in my dorm room about a social network that could bank millions...excuse me BILLIONS...well hey that's just someones idea...you know how many people there are that come up with an idea that they think MAY work, but then someone comes along and makes it work...just because mark had the proper advertising tools and maybe a little help from some friends with some extra cash to make the servers run better...you're all of the sudden going to get mad at him because he was more prepared than you? hmm shame on you for not jumping the gun and being as resourceful as he was...

Am I a fan of facebook - sure in some aspect, its great to connect with friends - yet it can be a relationship DESTROYER. Social networks like MySpace are still around because they are great for music artists and models and people really being able to express themselves...facebook limits this a little (you cannot customize your page, sure you can add videos, but it doesn't stream quiet like MySpace does)

anyways I'm interested to hear some arguments on this, id like to know what people think about this whol "hey that's my idea" situation and why so many people are so quick to sue when someone they know makes it big(warreen buffet, bill gates - their friends/colleagues etc), all of the sudden it was their idea and they should have the money and yada yada yada...i don't know really, just looking for some fueds, opinions, arguments really lol...feel free to say whatever you may - even if it isn't about facebook and some other "hey that was my idea" scheme...

there are also many people out there who had similar ideas (such as google, yahoo, etc) and they've kept their mouths shut just because they realize they didn't capitalize on their idea...
