I think so.

For example, if someone were to wear a shirt with offensive remarks or say offensive comments.

I'm just wondering since I'm currently in a relationship with a Vietnamese girl who happens to have thick thighs with some athletic tone to it, which I find very attractive. I've thought about referring to her as Chun-Li in the future for being an Asian girl with thick, athletic legs but don't know how she'll react to such remark.

Recently, James Gunn has been fired from directing the Guardians Of The Galaxy movies because some (ironically) 9 year old tweets were dug up by conservative journalist Mike Cernovich that Gunn had made about pedophilia.

Less recently, MSNBC commentator Sam Seder, host of far left podcast The Majority Report, was also let go for making a joke about pedophilia regarding the Roman Polanski scandal after Mike Cernovich also uncovered it. Though Seder was re-hired after counter backlash was mounted, it seems the question is still open about the nature of Tweets and employment.

This gets to the heart of mob mentality and partisanship, given that Rosanne Barr was also fired from her legitimately successful sitcom reboot when she made racially callous remarks about a woman in government.

Do you believe that offensive tweets should be a fireable offense? Should the standard be applied equally across the spectrum, or are some subjects more firable than others?
